State of mind!

Well over the last few days I have been concentrating on my book and I have been pounding away at the keys like no ones business, it's been crazy, fun, enlightening and so powerful. I have loved it. Of course I have the moments where I am brain mashed, but it's been so great for me to focus on this. I have loved it.

I have also had other things to occupy my mind, which is also very good. I have several friends who are going through a lot of tough times for one reason or another, and I have been there to support them for that, and there are moments that I have a melt down too… but thats all normal and as I have said before I am not superwoman, and I cannot profess to be it any more… I used too but … nope… I give up and I Lisa and I am human! haha

What has been apparent to me though over the last few days with everything that is going on is that it's about how you look at things and how you focus and how you deal with it. Its' a state of mind. For instance, one of my closest friends is fighting cancer, and all along you would look at her and think…. No, she hasn't got cancer! She's a tough cookie, and she has all along, fought this not only with her body but also her mind. she has focused on getting well and her remission party. I go around twice a week for healing and she is strong. I think I have only seen her have one bad day out of the whole time I have been giving her healing in the last 4 months. It's her state of mind, she is fighting this in such a positive way.

Then there are other people who are leaving relationships and while it's hard to overcome and also hard to face, and if you remember I have 3 people who I know who I am a support for for this,  some of them are working on through it in their way and fighting to find a solution, then there are others that think that have done it and realize that they are doing it the hard way… everyone deals with things differently, however, it's about state of mind again. I have said the same to all of them, 'its just a moment of time' for the rest of your life. And they have adopted that attitude and stayed positive, knowing that it will be ok in the end. Now I am not saying that they are getting through it solely on my advice, because no matter what you always have to have a support system.

Having people you can talk to or rely on is important especially when you are going through major changes  in your life, I know that there are six of my close friends, some of them new, some of them old, have been my support network… I have cried on their shoulder, laughed with them, even spilt a few drinks with them but they kept me on track and in the zone. Its important but constantly it was about state of mind and positive thinking.

Which leads me to something else that I wanted to share with you in a way that maybe you would help. I love what I do and I try to help others on the journey and I have found that you reap what you sow and I give what I can and help who I can, and you find that you get the rewards also. So recently I have decided to help a young woman who is a single mom and who has cancer. She is another one who is a fighter, her state of mind of incredible. However she lives in the UK and the health system, and I am talking from experience here, isn't the greatest (sorry) and they haven't discovered where the primary tumor is for her cancer. The Anderson hospital in Texas have accepted her case and is willing to help her, however being a single mom… the funds are tight and getting over to the US to have these tests is a hard road, so I have decided to help out along with her friend who is also a friend of mine, Paula.

Paula is a dancer and choreographer and has decided to put on a show to help raise funds to bring Jacqui her friend to Texas to have the treatment, it will cost $18,000 initially, so I decided to help out and set up a page on my website where people can read Jacqui's story and donate if they wish to help her come over get the treatment that she needs, and continue to be a mother to her 3 year old son Toby. I have also decided in true LW fashion that whatever we raise I will match that donation. So if we raise $5,000 I will match it and therefore she will get $10,000. so if you are interested in helping click here.

She emailed me today to say thank you as she was so overwhelmed with the response just by loading it on Facebook. So thank you to those who have helped already.

So it's state of mind everyone and it's about believing that you can do and you will succeed. and so with that, I need to have the state of mind to know that I will finish my book on time… so I better get back to the tapping of the keys!

Much love and I'll see you soon!!!

Hugs and love

Lisa xx

Dearest Lisa,

I tried to make a small donation for your friend Jacqui, but when I went into the relevant payment section, and Paypal came up, it wanted my email address and password as though I needed to be a member of the paypal system, which I am not??? I am surprised one can not just make a payment with a credit card without registering with Paypal first, which seems quite a rigmarole from South Afica. Am I missing a trick or something? I will try again again quickly before I sign off.

Hugs,
Jeanette

No... lol... it's okay, I just noticed the other option of payment that is not through the Paypal system. Sorry about that... having a blonde moment... it's early in the morning here... lol.

Hi everyone,

At first, when I signed onto Lisa's blog this morning, I was not sure how I wanted to respond to Lisa's blog today, so I went into the Forum section and posted a comment there in response to the book "The Lovely Bones". A few people had mentioned that they found this book depressing. I responded by saying that I generally try and avoid, not only depressing stories, but also books and movies and situations relating to the "dark" side of life. Interestingly, while eating my breakfast, I read another section from James van Praagh's book "Ghosts Among Us" and lo and behold, read a section relating to the "lower darker realm of the spirit world". He explains that when one lives constantly in a negative, depressed, angry, irritable, addictive, etc. state of mind, they generally go to that lower realm where those negative issues thrive and flourish, at least for a while anyway until they wisen up. He also refers to like attracting like, so if one constantly watches dark or evil movies or reads similar books, one is attracting that dark energy to oneself. I am relating this in response to Lisa's comments regarding keeping a positive attitude as much as possible. I am not talking about not feeling despair at times when certain events happen in our lives. I am talking about constantly living in that despair and not doing anything to pull oneself out of the doldrums of negative thoughts when we persist in carrying negativity throughout our lives. I, for one, know that I definitely do not want to end up in that lower darker realm, not for even one minute if possible, so will continue to endeavour to grow into a more positive and loving person, both towards myself and towards others. I feel so blessed that I have discovered this spiritual path to help me move forward. I have read some awesome books of late, including Louise Hay's "The Power is Within You", "Daily Guidance By Your Angels" by Doreen Virtue, and of course Lisa's book as well, and now James van Praagh. They have all taught me that unconditional love is the best gift to give to yourself, to others and to the universe as a whole.

God bless you all,
Jeanette

Hey there Lisa,

Congrats on your 2nd chapter, yay girl!!! I caught it on Twitter while I was sleepwalking with the Spirits through the night. :)

I bet there is a sense of relief giving up that superwoman cape as you can't be everyone's rock and strength all the time. You need support too and it is okay to lean on others for their support as you are human. So I am glad you have a support system around you because it does really help you get through these moments that are fleeting but do hurt deeply. You know as I am typing this, I realize that I may have to have this conversation with myself... LOL. Sometimes I am better at giving others advice and fail to follow my own. It is funny how others get used to you being 'the rock' 'the strength' 'the person everyone goes to for advice'... so when you have an emotional breakdown or show your vulnerable side, they kind of don't expect it. Especially in our family's. Each of us has a role... some are peacemakers while others are the troublemakers, and others are the rock or the go to person. So I guess we get used to these roles and have to break the pattern as we are multifaceted and have many sides to our personalities.

Your friend sounds amazing and it reminds me of how my Dad was when he was diagnosed with advanced inoperable lung cancer. That dude confused the doctors as they gave him 6 -8 mos. and he lived well over 8 years with it. Although it was not an easy ride as he had undergo many experimental treatments that were hellish, he did get periods of remission which were miraculous and we all celebrated in Las Vegas. That determination and state of mind is such a great strength and I truly wish your friend well and the single Mom you are supporting. Sending them both good thoughts and healing light.

Your support for them is so touching and inspiring as well!

Lots of Hugs,
DS

Hi Lisa,
As usual your advice is right on time ! I'd like to say thanks to Jeanette as well. I too have not been able to read The Lovely Bones for that reason. I write songs and get inspired by sad stories ,so sometimes I have to do that in order to feel the emotions. when I'm going through a tough time though i try to avoid or at least distance myself. We can't avoid all the bad stories. I completely get what you're saying though. I have Daily Guidance from your angels sitting on my desk ! Lol... Louise Hayes book" You Can Heal Your Life " is like the Bible to me (yikes no offense). I totally believe Like attracts like . I've been practicing positive thinking for a few years now and it works. Whenever I slip I can completely see the difference in my circumstances! The entire atmosphere around me gets negative. i believe it's like Lisa said a state of mind and a choice you make . Not like robots or anything. Positive affirmations are a godsend though . So I do try to start my day out that way. I also believe in applying the golden rule" Do unto others" and not judging others. When we work on ourselves , we just don't have the time to do that. Thank you again Lisa. Keep plugging away on your book:) can't wait to read it!! Love & light

Hi,
I’m glad that you’re doing OK, from your blogs and comments I can see that you are in wonderful company, you have tens of thousands of fans who love and support you and a stable and loving support system at home. There’s a lot that I can say but you’re a level-headed woman and thus my input won’t be required.

Enjoy your day.

Lisa, I just "stumbled" onto your blog. I have missed your TV show and wondered what was up with you. To see you share yourself like you are doing is a great gift I feel you have given all of us; one I take very seriously. I hope that all of us reading your trials and tribulations can add positive energy to yours so that you continue to have the strength to do your "Lisa" life, as well as bring Spirit to many through your books and tv shows. I am sure there are energy "vampires" that try to hook on to you. I will do my part to send you loving strength to add to yours so you are never depleted.
