We can't save everyone!
Monday, June 29, 2009 at 04:22PM We are all having a great time on holiday! Charlie is having so much fun and Kev and I are having a blast. Its been great!
Tonight was the first time I saw for real what I say.... for instance, when I see an ambulance I always say, lady having a baby, and when I see the fire department out I saw, "cat stuck up a tree" welll tonight was true... We saw a fire engine and then another, and realised they were trying to rescue the cat stuck up a building!!!
They had the cherry picker out and everything and eventually (even after I told them where the cat was and them telling me they were waiting for aminal services to come" they left! I couldn't believe that they left that poor cat up 4 stories high, on a ledge... but the question was, where were the owners??
If you had just gone down a story you would have been able to open a window and allow the cat to jump through, but no.... that didn;t happen... all the spectators were saying that but no one was allowed near the building,.. so we couldn't :(
Even the fire brigade went up in the ladders but they didn't rescue it as they didn't want to scare it off... I sat there for at least an hour afterwards watching the building to see how the cat was.. it's still sitting up there now... :(
Such a shame.
Some times we can't do anything it's all out of our control. All we can do is think good thoughts and send positive vibes out to those who need it and hope that the universe has a plan. It's often out of our hands. We have to accept that, and know that we can't heal everyone. It's tough lesson to learn, but one I had to learn from a young age!
Hugs and love
Lisa xx

Awww poor kitty, I would have been beside myself too.... where's that real life spiderman guy who scales buildings when you need him hmmm!!!
Poor Kitty!!! : ( Much Love to you and everyone!!!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful vacation!!!: )
Hey Sweetie!
I didn't expect to see you blog for awhile since you are taking a breather. So this is a nice suprise. how awful for that poor kitty. Did he ever get down? I hope he did, safely.
We had an incedent here in Rochester alittle over aweek ago where this young bear wandered into a suburban area near city limits. The "poor fellow went up a tree to spend the night. The next morning, the TV crews, the police and the Dept. of environmental services were out there scratching their heads. And the bear is waking up, looking around. He looked frightened but was just sort of trying to figure out what was going on. Well, the "professionals" cooked up a plan to put hay bales around the tree, then put a net under the tree and then shot tranquilizer darts at the bear. The poor fell out of the tree into the net and the net stretched down to the ground, no bales of hay. He bounced off the ground and broke his neck. The whole area was up in arms. I am helping to investigate the matter. You know, animals look to us for protection. That rescue was so botched up. In the case of the bears, deers and other wild life. We develope all around their homes and when they wander into our environments we call them nusiances. It seems to me that since this is a growing problem The Dept. of Environmental services should be better prepared to deal with these situations. Anything less is heartless and irresponcible. There. Now, I will jump off my soap box.
Love to you all,
Kim
You're right not everyone or animal can be saved, but I hope for it's sake it gets down safely... Poor thing!

I'm sorry for the kitty cat too, but cats fair well in those kinds of situations. He or she will find their way down soon enough. So fear not! All will be well I'm sure.
Now, not to bring everyone down, but if we could find a way to stop thousands of dogs & cats who will be euthanized, after just 3 days in the animal shelters in all of California, because the state of California is broke, please contact me so we can stand together & help them have a chance to find loving homes or their owners if they've just lost their way. Please email me at adventuressatlarge@yahoo & I will send you a link so that you can also voice your concerns to the people who make those important decisions in our beautiful state. I thank you in advance for all of them if you do!!

Ohhhhhhhhhh this poor kitty must be terribly frightened, confused and hungry. I wish I was there as would make damn sure they did their job right and rescued this poor baby. I wonder how ktty even got up there, is sometimes much easier geting up than getting down. I pray they can rescue this frightened cat.
Kim, the bear story simply broke my heart, totally, What a very very tragic and needles thing to happen and I hope they have learned from this and take more precautions in the future. May this precous bear rest in peace (((((((((((Bear))))))))))
Wendy, I am well aware of what CA is trying to do and have signed a petition against it.
I hope everyonen voices their dismay and concern for these animals, WE have to be THEIR voices.
Hugs

You are so wise...it's exhausting to try to heal everyone and everything.
Just what I need to hear!
Thank you,
Lana
Even Superman has to take a breather sometime.... thank you for taking the time to keep us in your thoughts xxx
Lisa,
Whenever I feel depressed or hopeless I come here to read your blog, I feel some strong connection with you. I just hope someday I could meet you in person!
You are so right, we can't control everything, the lessons in life are often tough, the mistakes are often made by ourselves! I hope someday people realize that how little we are! God bless you!

Hi again!
Thank you Lori for your support. Hopefully, working w/ the US Humane Society on this will help it from happening again. That's a big task but, if we don't speak out when we see an injustice then nothing will get better.
LISA!!
Somehow, I didn't see your blog from THE 3 MEDIUMS' untill now. It sounds lncredible!!!
Why is it that you always get those messages that refer to the chest region, I wonder?
HAHAHA! you georgous girl!!!
Do you think you'll ever do THE 3 MEDIUMS again? If so, Please bring the show to Rochester. Just imagine 3X's the fun!!! By the way, I loved the touch of the single roses. They were so beautiful!!!! What a beautiful touch from such a beautiful lady.
love ya,
Kim
Hi Lisa,
After meeting with you in Waukegan and Merrillville, USA it was great to see you again yesterday (Monday) in London, UK. With how similar our life paths have been, imagine that we would be in the same place (again) doing the same thing - just bizarre! It was great to meet Kevin also!
We will be returning to the States in 3 weeks and therefore as mentioned previously, if you are ever passing St Louis (the Gateway to the West!), feel free to stop by for some good ole english hospitality, a nice cup of char and perhaps a tour of this great sporting city! ;o)
I was nearly cheeky enough to have asked for a reading yesterday, but Sam and I were just appreciative to meet with you once again and also appreciated the fact that you are taking some "vacation" time.!
Anyway, all the best to you and yours and we look forward to meeting with you again in the near future back in the States.!
Regards,
Mark & Sam xxx
Oh, Lisa, this poor Kitty... this scene must have been so hurting... I understand you so much. I love animals and especially cats as my mother has 4 and I love them dearly. This feeling of being powerless is so frustrating and annoying especially for you who can't help helping everyone ;-)
Don't worry I'm sure this cat is ok now ;-) you sent him so many positive waves it cannot be otherwise ;-)
Thank you for blogging and have nice holidays !
Gros bisous ;-)
Lise
Really tells people that if we can be foiled by something simple as a cat on a ledge, we don't have all the answers in life! Seems astounding, but true!
