Pensacola
Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 12:43AM Well yesterday was an action packed day of travel.. traveling through out Florida which was great and it gave me time to reflect on a few things in life... it's always nice to take a road trip and it gives me time to connect to me. I love it. I sing, to my music, I talk to myself... I make decisions about my life. It's great. Perfect and just what I needed and it also gave me time to chat with my friend Janey...
So I arrived in Pensacola for tonights show and today after my radio show and a few other things, I started to pack for the show, and panic set in... OMG where was my make up! Yes I had left it in a hotel bathroom in a cabinet! Typical but I have been in a great mood after the road trip that, I thought... No... it's not going to get me... Walgreens will be the lifesaver that I need... and it was.
I stocked up within 10 minutes and I was back to normal! whoohoo... Although a trip to the MAC store is in order when I get back as the hotel I was staying at, haven't found my make up... typical really... and it was the same hotel that drove my car when I valet parked it... hmmmm so lets say I won't be staying there again.
So the silliness started... and that was it, I was suddenly doing handstands like I was a little kid against the wall. I used to be a gymnast so a handstand was never a big deal... but I was younger and thinner then... but I was impressed... whoohoo and for those of you on twitter who want to see it @lwmedium is where you can see it!! ha ha ha
But the show... it was an intimate group which was lovely and nice and there were some emotional readings that came out, but also laughter as usual. It was great and there was one reading that touched me, was where I said, the name of the person who I needed to speak to and I communicated with her son and she was so relieved that her son came through and was able to say hi to his mom.
The connections are what matter to me, but sometimes we have to also connect to people who are still with us, and those that need connections reestablishing. so take time to look at them and help them... it's important before it's too late to build the bridge.
Much love and I'll be back soon... traveling to Sarasota tomorrow
Hugs
Lisa xx

Just because we're a little older Lisa, doesn't mean we still can't be bendy..lol..Glad you got yourself some more make-up, although, you are one who doesn't need it, but i like to wear it too, so i understand..Sounds like you're still doing your amazing work for people?..I bet 100% they all appreciated it!...Love Stace XX
Hi Lisa,
I don't know how you keep it all together with all you do. You seem to bounce right through, deal with things head on and then keep going. A valuable thing to learn in life, find a solution and go with it, if anything the effort will make you feel good.
Great advice about making and nurturing your relationships here. Any advice when the bridge get too far and seems unsurmountable to reach????????????

Terry
No makeup....yikes!!! Don't leave home without it....LOL.
Safe travels, Lisa.
Your new shows are calling my name......
peace....deb t/illinois
I was at your Pensacola show last night and really enjoyed it. I will be the first to admit that the cruise was much more my style, I was sandwiched between a man drinking beer and women drenched in perfume. However I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I brought my two more skeptical college-aged kids with me, and I at least hope you dented their armor! LOL The night for me was about sharing my interest in your abilities with them. I know they will be out on their own before I know it, and have to steal time with them when I can!
I'm sorry the weather didn't cooperate, hope you have at least some good memories of Pensacola! Thanks for stopping by! :)
Hi Lisa,
For me, make up is not a problem! LOL!!
Tough I have to shave my face every day.
Funny how things can happen in a day …
There’s days like that and others that everything fall into place!
Have a good day,
Friendly yours from the East Coast
;0)
That hotel really, really needs to comp you for your stay. Grrrrrr.
And stealing makeup? Even if they thought it was abandoned ( which is clearly wasn't as I'll bet you left it in a nice little carrier bag or case or something) - who uses used makeup? Even from Lisa?
Back a million plus years ago, when I was studying for my undergraduate degree I worked in a hotel as a chambermaid. One of the fun parts of that job ( the not fun part was scrubbing 40 bathrooms a day and let me tell you the showers were the worst - I learned a lot about people during that job).. oh, one of the fun parts was dusting off the bathroom counter of staying guests and noticing what makeup and perfume they used. I never disturbed it, and certainly never opened or used anything, but it was pleasing to see what brands were out there and I always found it interesting. It was always so pretty. I could only afford drug store stuff in those days and learning about Chanel and Dior was so illuminating!
OH, and who remembers Charles of the Ritz? That was the first 'quality' make up I ever bought! ha ha!
But to take it? To use it? NEVER. Don't go back there, Lisa - if they borrowed your car and took your make up the whole place is full of it. Yuk.
I think i would be writing a letter to the hotel Corp. One thing i am huge on is customer service they cant keep thier service top notch if they dont know the issues. All in all though sounds like a great time.... its never good to let the little things get you down. :) Have a great show tonight!
Thank goodness for WalGreen's!!! LOL!!!!
Regarding your previous post, I'm soooo proud of you for accomplishing this life goal....now 2 books! I'm over-the-moon excited to read it, especially since it was written by you, and not a ghost-writer! I was just talking about it last night w/ the girls I work w/, and the "what happens when you die" theme raised some eyebrows, but they were really interested and asked a bunch of questions about the topic and about YOU! I try to spread the word as often as I can! :)
Stay safe, enjoy your travels, and keep having a blast! Love and Hugs!
Dear Lisa
Just to let you know if you are anything like me with make up once their is one brand of make up that you like nothing seems to be just as good and in case you can't wait until you get back home there is a mac store here in Sarasota its in the mall but if you take us 41 and it's on the corner of 41 and bee ridge rd....

Hey there Lisa,
Well that hotel totally rots for taking your car and not finding the makeup!
The handstand pic was priceless. I saw it last night and laughed my sides off... I just did not expect it which made it so funny. That was great! To top it off, I had just finished having an IM session with my friend and he was telling something sad. So thanks for that because the timing was impeccable.
We have to make it fun don't we?! To choose to feel better despite whats been given you? I have had to change my thinking around more than I would rather admit. *smile* It's so powerful to know that at any given moment ..at any given time we can "choose" to find a better feeling thought or thinking and move into happiness finding joy.
I'll have to become a twitter fan and see that handstand! Good for you!!!
Love & Hugs,
Andrea

Hello Lisa, first of all I cannot wait until your new book is out and order it right away, loved your last one!! Glad to see you don't let the little things get to you, you are such an inspiration that way.....See you are coming to WI in March and I am so excited it isn't funny. Have my ticket and will be counting down the days. Since it is a ways away think us girls will just make a night of it in Wausau.
Love & Hugs, Judi :)
Oh Lovely Lisa,
I'm so sorry that "other" hotel did not ...turn over your personal items, and go the extra steps to admit, what was Actually done. I shake my head in Fl. all the time. Did not know about the rental car incident.~
I wish I could have been in the Walgreens store while you were grabbing what you needed. Every time I travel somewhere, I end up going into Walgreens, as they have very fuzzy sock too. (sleep or walk around room in) Oh, it's fun in there. Glad you did alright.
I know you are having a good show tonight. See you.
Sleep well and I Loved your thought blog here. Few people do help and it still amazes me.
Hugs..
ooo
Lisa,
I was at the Pensacola show and enjoyed it tremendously. I was thrilled that you were coming to Pensacola and bought tickets back in July when I heard of your impending arrival. I was hoping to connect to several deceased family members, particularly my beloved mom and a brother, but even though it didn't happen, I'm grateful for you and your show. I was touched by those who were able to receive messages from their loved ones and I know they must have felt such a multitude of emotions leaving there that cold night. You are an incredibly beautiful lady and I hope that I get the honor of attending another show in the future. My little boy (who is 9) would also love to attend. I believe he has (or had) some level of gift (seeing auras), but I would like to know if you would find that appropriate for him to be present in such event. As a mother, I always worry about what I should or should not expose him to. Thanks again.
My friends and I traveled to Pensacola from Panama City, to give you a gift from our
friend Kat..the jacket and flowers...we wanted to speak to you, but we were thrown
out of the theater by one of their employees! I'm sorry that none of my loved ones came through, but I don't think that I have issues like the people that did have loved ones that came through have.... I have been very forturnate that I haven't lost many loved ones...an Aunt, Grandmothers...but that was a very long time ago...We wanted to tell you that our friend Kat has the same gift as you have. The first time she meet my husband she saw his grandmother with him....Kat needed to speak to his mother, and she did. She put some things to rest for my husbands mother...answered some unanswered questions for her...anyway I'm glad I came, and I wish you and your familiy all the best....and a Merry Christmas to you also...
Sylvia
