New Year's Resolutions!

This is a time for new possibilities and opportunities. We make new resolutions and start afresh. It's a great time to let go of old patterns and start new beginnings. I love it! It's not always easy for people to do this, but they set intentions for the new year, but it's sticking to it. So what we need is motivation!
Motivation and determination. We need to have things to remind us of what our intentions are… you have to do things to help yourself otherwise we slip back into the same pattern. I'm sure you are the same. The intention is set for a week or so and then it slips and it goes and then before you know it you are back in the old habit and cycle. So we need to help ourselves stick to the plan and the goal and we can manifest our dreams.
So think about this…
You have to work out what type of person you are, i.e.… visual, auditory or touchy feely and then that will help you decide what is good for you.
This will help you… which phrase do you find yourself saying when you agree or understand what someone is saying to you.
"I see what you mean?"
"I hear what you are saying?"
"I know how you feel"
Now from that you can determine what type of person you are.
If you say the first you are visual, if you say the second you are auditory and if you say the last you are more of the touchyfeely type.
Now to help you maintain your goals and intentions you can do something to help you, so here's some ideas.
If you are visual then put up some pictures that will inspire you in places that you spend a long amount of time. Such as your screen saver could be a picture of when you were thinner or healthy foods, if your goal is to lose weight. If you want to write a book the create a picture of the front cover and put it up to inspire you. You will come up with your own ideas but you need something to look at.
If you are Auditory, then create a playlist of music that will inspire you to meet your goals. If you want to lose weight come up with a playlist which will inspire you to move your body. If you want to increase your spiritual gifts, then find some guided meditations that will help you. Write down some affirmations that you can say to yourself and record them and play them back on your iPod. You will come up with your own ideas but it will certainly help you.
If you are touchyfeely, then you need to have something that you can touch and it will remind you of your goals, it could be a swatch of fabric, it could be a bracelet that you wear to remind you, it could be a ring that will remind you of your intention. You will also find that if you are this type of person you will also be one of the other types too, so don't dismiss them… and do what feels right to you, to help you stick to your goals.
These are just some ideas and it will help but also call upon friends and family to help you do this too… you need support and this is a great time as everyone is feeling the same!
So believe in yourself and know that you can do anything that you put your mind too… so for me I just need to finish those two squares of Cadbury Milk Chocolate that I have hidden and resist any more chocolate!!! I know I can do it!!!

OH MY... It is quite interesting that I came across this blog today. :) Although I learned through hard work to be more disciplined in all areas of my life, I admit that I totally began to go a little off track. It's okay to cut yourself some slack to test the waters, but now I must stop testing the water before I drown. It is so easy to fall back into old bad habits and yet not so easy to develop new good ones. It's so true that some are more visual while others are more auditory or touchy feely. Well, I have one big problem and that is that my close dear Brit friend is coming back from London with some Cadbury chocolate for me. I completely cracked up when I read the last line of your blog knowing that I will have my own stash in just a few days. So I will first have to finish my chocolate stash... and I am not sharing it either. LOL LOL How selfish we women become when it comes to chocolate... or am I the only one? :)

I'm glad that this year is starting out so much better for you, I know how difficult the last few years have been. I always knew things would turn out the way the have,,,I just had the wrong person in the picture.....as long as you and CB are happy that is all that matters to me.
/since 2007 I have carried around with me a crystal that appeared literally out of know where in the middle of an indent in the ground. You had not been feeling that well and had a show to do, I was at a class, so I excused myself and went to send you Reiki Healing before you went on stage.
When I can back to the class, that is when I found this rare crystal. I knew straight away it was meant for you, and for well over a year every time I would see you I wanted to give it to you but something always came up.
Everybody seemed to have a hard time telling what it was,so when I got home I took it up to the university and had them inspect it.
According to the geology professor it is a double terminated rose quartz, self healing into a lavender amethyst. he commented he had never seen one like it and that it was very rare. It is still in it's natural state and still has a little Sedona dirt on it!
It is time for me to pass it on,and my hopes are that one day when you are done with it, CB will get it and it can be carried down. It has been a great stone for me. I would suggest doing a good cleanse & charge on it, I am giving away things that mean to me for a reason, so you will want to remove that energy before using it. It's only about 1.5 in long. I always wanted to take part of it and make it into some kind of jewelry, maybe you will be able to do that it you want.
I hope that you find it to be as awesome of a crystal as I did the last 4/5 years I have had it. I have actually felt lost without it the last few days.since I packed it up and sent it off to you and went on my last retreat. Till our next journey together..i wish you love, respect, honesty,and true friendship with the person you and CB share your life together with

Good ol' Cadbury's... for me, there is no other chocolate to beat it... definitely my biggest weakness!
Your advice is excellent. I am pleased to mentioned that you can fall under more than one category. I was wondering about that when I realised I was mainly visual, but also audio, because I love being inspired by music as well.
Putting pictures up is something I know I should do because I tell myself to do it often enough. I even have the pinboards and tacks to do so. I just haven't followed through. Your prod has reminded me what a good idea it is. When we move homes and I need to decorate or think of design ideas, I buy stacks of house and garden magazines and build up a portfolio. It's a brilliant idea... so thanks!
I never thought to analyse it in terms of your personality type. A friend who does my "healing" massages and treatments, just mentioned it the last time I went to her. She spoke about it in the context of me trying to get a point across to my hubby... lol. I need to use words that trigger him focussing on what I am saying as opposed to his laptop or the TV. Him being audio, I need to say something like "can I have your attention for a few minutes please while I tell you something?" This is supposed to shift his attention to me. It's the same concept.
Hopefully I will have success in posting my comment. I haven't been able to post for over a year now. For some reason it bombs out... hmm. It has made me reluctant to post since it's a bit of a bummer when my words disappear out into the universe somewhere never to be traced again.
A beautiful and much more joyful 2012 to all of you who post here. Let's all hope and pray that we start moving forward out of this recession the whole world has been in.

First I must share that I recently read Lisa's most current book and it was, hands down....one of the best books I've ever read and i've been a long time devotee to spiritual reading. When I came across her book via my new Kindle Fire, it was the first one I read on it. When I came across it I was in a very dark place in life and her book changed my brain in such a unreal way, I would never be able to put it into words that would do it justice!
So I was so happy to read that you can be more than just one kind of person, (visual, auditory,etc.) because for myself I can be all. It absolutely depends on who it is coming from and what feeling it conjours up inside of me.
I am so stoked to have become part of this family. I've been longing for quite some time to find people to want and be conscious, loving, aware Bothers and Sisters. I Love that my thoughts have been validated by all of you, by the words in your postings. I"m so happy to find people who really want to live a life of Peace, Honesty all supported by Love and Harmony with one another.
My hopes and dreams for this New Year is a complete change of (for the most part) a change in the human consciousness, so that we may heal one another and our precious planet....As a true leader of God Consciousness says, " We must be, the Change, We Wish to See in this World!"... For myself I think I have found like-minde people and i feel very Blessed and Grateful to Lisa and all our brother and sisters who have been guided to this awesome web-site.

Beautifully said, elf... it is truly a wonderful experience when something or someone new arrives in one's life that has a life-changing effect. Lisa, and her site, has indeed been that, and so much more, for me too, so I totally hear where you are coming from.
According to an encouraging and uplifting thread that a member posted on Lisa's boards just recently, is that the shift in our human consciousness is going to come with the big change that is said to be coming in 2012, and it is not in fact the end of the world, but the beginning of a greater consciousness and we are going to see the end of the dominance of darker powers and lighter energies are going be a stronger force. This is apparently according to Mayan elders and experts. We are supposed to be shifting from the 4th Sun into the 5th Sun which previously occurred 26,000 years ago. I am not sure of the facts, but I found the article uplifting and heartening.

This is in to Netty's response to my posting on the 4th, and all the rest of us that are connected through this present life experience! So Netty, I've heard this very same thing through a few different spiritual people here in the islands. I for one absolutely believe it. I don't even believe the world is going to come to an end. I do believe the earth and the people who inhabit it are going to change, by a shifting of consciousness. I for one am looking forward to what lays ahead! When I was in my dark, depressed state of mind, it was over the hanious ways in which people all over the planet were treating one another. On the other hand, even though I was extremely depressed, I knew deep down inside that something [ositive was getting ready to happen...

Hi everyone and happy new year. I am new to this site so I don't know if this is the right place to ask my question, but I'm gonna do it anyway! ; )
I was just reading the old monthly chat transcripts where Lisa was talking about angels and earth angels. Lisa explained earth angels to be humans that the angels have chosen to work with people on the planet and help them (at least that's how I understood it). My question is, if someone is an earth angel are they aware of it? Or do they just live their lives doing what they do because they feel it's the right thing to do?
