Chaos and Clutter!

Sometimes in life we get overwhelmed with things to do.  We often forget the most important things because we are so overwhelmed.  It happens to us all and I have to write lists to remember and as I have said before I have lists for lists... it makes people laugh!

But for me I need it, but it's also about ensuring that the chaos in life is also cleared.  Sometimes we create so much drama that we can't think straight.  I have had enough drama to last me a lifetime and now my drama comes from the likes of Desperate Housewives on TV... haha

But my point being is that sometimes we need to clear things out to let go of chaos and drama.  It also makes us think straight too.  So this weekend and thank heavens it's a long one (I'll need it)... is going to be spent clearing out the junk in Charlie's room.

It works for kids too, if we overwhelm or over stimulate them then they don't create, be kids... I'm no expert but it's just what I have learnt from my dealings with spiritual children, they need clarity and not clutter.

We can also learn from this, we need to reduce the clutter so that we can think straight.  So think about what you have around you. Does your desk need clearing, does your closet need cleaning out... there are so many things that we can do to help us clear the chaos and drama without even realizing it.  When you make space in your life though simple things like this, it allows you to be more proactive.

If you are going to do something like that, remember to have fun though... and keep smiling!

Hugs and love

Lisa xx

Dear Lisa - do you think all children are spiritual - or are some more so than others??

I was just looking for boxes on Craigslist so I could start purging stuff. It's hard to do when you have as much stuff as I have accumulated! So scared i'll need something I get rid of!! It is especially hard in these tough economic times when you can't replace anything if you do eventually need it! But still, I need to disconnect from a lot of this stuff.
Thanks for affirming this decision!!

Lisa,

How'd your first class go? Well I hope!!
Hugs, Vicki

Hi Lisa... Wow this is so true. My partner and I are moving soon, so I'm packing all our belongings in to boxes, and throwing out the old energy, my partner doesn't like letting go of old energy or memories but slowly we are getting rid of it all and the house we live in and our lives are now clearer. Which is wonderful... We now need to make room for a lovely little new addition to our family in a few months time..... Can't wait for that chaos.
Thanks for your posts Lisa. Xxxx

Hi Lisa,

So lovely to hear from you! and happy that you have written another blog.
I love them and I always miss what you have to say. I find your blogs
very practical and open. I wish you well on your decluttering endeavour with Charlie and wish you smiles too. Time seems to not be enough sometimes and you put everything into a small amount of time and you have chaos and exhaustion lol. Deciding what will come first. Lists help with that I think.

Thank you for the reminder that a flat surface can bring about creativity.

Bless you and your loving intent.

It's amazing Lisa, that you should talk about stress and clutter right now! My family and I (5 of us) are moving from Australia to Canada in 7wks and 5days!! Stressed...yes...decluttering...yes... Your words couldn't have come at a better time!

Lisa...It's been a while since I've visited your website/blog and I have to tell you the last two blogs you've written coincide with a lot of things in my life. Like you've said at your shows..you may not get a reading but someone's reading may touch something that is going on in your life. This is the case with me. Don't forget to blog your experiences they help so many to have insight and maybe just give us that nudge that we need to keep going in the right direction!

Take care and much luck and success in your life! Be true to yourself and you'll always find the right answers!

So true Lisa!!! I've spent the last yr doing almost nothing bar that as my husband passed away & I've had to sort out a lot of "stuff" around the home. I'm a huge list maker as well. The aim is to get through the list in a day. If it doesn't happen at least I had my list to try to get through!!! It's so true. A tidy home creates a tidy mind & by de cluttering & orgainsing I am finally learning to sit still. I think by organising our homes we learn to organise out thoughts so we prioritize our day better xxxx Love & light to you Lisa :)) xxxx

I have rooms that I should have cleaned and tidied, but I feel like I can`t yet. There are too many memories and too much emotions connected...
By the way, I was at your show in Trondheim last year. I didn`t connect with the one I wanted to "hear" from, but it was amazing. YOU were amazing! Thank you!

You tell people to keep smiling, and I think that is the most important thing to do. Even though the world seems to fall apart around you, I think you have to keep on smiling, to try to find the small things that `ll make your life worth living...

So funny how your blogs always seem to coincide with where I seem to be at the moment... I decided yesterday to spend the day doing some "spring Cleaning" as I was beginning to become overwhelmed. I felt the shift in my energy immediately, being able to see clearer and accomplish something always makes one feel better :) Have a great weekend and hugs to you, holly, and Charlie (the dogs too). *Sparkle*

much love

Hello Lisa,

Well, I don't have kids yet, but my stuff is enough already !!! So you are totally right, I think today it will be clearing out things around me in my studio, my clothes and the rest because it's true when we clean the house, we sort of clean our mind, don't we ?
So let's go ! ;-) Thank you...

Thank you for taking the time to Blog. always interested to see what you have to say
it's like a little window into your life. Have fun with Charlie's room. After living together over 20 years we are a blend of tidy & slightly messy. Dog toys all over the lounge, I think it's homey.

BONJOUR Lisa,

I'm right in the middle of spring cleaning. It feels really good to clean up the home on a regular basis. However, my cats don't like it as much!

Also, I don't have a choice! According to Numerology, I'm starting my Year 9. This is the best year for cleaning up your home and your life. More coffee, please!

And, let's put some great music and sing along during this most needed period.

Much LOVE,

Well, first day down for the garage and more to go! It does feel so good to move that huge mountain that was hanging on my back. It's an overwhelming project but it also weighed me down everytime I had to go in there. It's also great because I'm finding things I was looking for, things we're selling in the sale and lots of garbage. My 5yr old is sorting her toys for the sale we're not getting far, she wants almost everything. I may have to run through it when she is at school!! She's even keeping game boxes without the game--no no we're not baby girl:)
