Routines... you either love or hate them!
Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 02:31PM Well I haven't blogged for a while, because I had been away and taken some time off and it's amazing how when you take the time off you come back with a refreshed mind. With that in mind, I am now raring to go! I know I was supposed to be relaxing but I actually wrote a course... tut tut tut.
But now Im back. and it's great to get back on track with things. Sometimes we all need a routine to follow and I know I do. I am better with a routine, and even while we were away we had a routine. I think people work better with it. It's always good to change things up a little but for me it helps.
Even though we make changes in our life, the routine that we do is always there... almost like how we like to do things when we get up. It's a way of feeling safe for some people or its a way of life.
so if you find that you are struggling with things and getting overwhelmed then write a list... Oh how I love my lists. I have lists for lists sometimes haha but seriously. Write a list, get organized and then find a routine and plough in to it.
I've had to do it with exercise... oh how I 'love' to exercise.... NOT but if I don't have a routine I won't do it. But I have to otherwise everyone who is coming to Machu Picchu with Holly and I will be leaving me behind on that hike! haha so I have to set a routine and stick to it! We have to break old habits and start new ones.
So if you are looking to start a new project or something and you need to get it in your head, set the intention, write a list and stick to it, it will soon become a routine for you!
Good luck with it!
Hugs and love from a refresh and raring to go
Lisa xx

Words to live By love and miss you and Holly :)
I really like this blog!!! I needed to hear this and so wish I could have a rest if only for a week, but not possible at this time. I'll make a list for that and make the respit happen. Thank you as always.
Oh my, it would be better if I put my correct "author" on the post. Forgive me . . . lol
Wow you really are psychic... Just what I need to hear today.....
I enjoy your words Lisa ...just returned from my walk and YES some days I hear that yamma yamma in my head that would just rather not. Amazing the bargaining and resistance sometimes. Routines can boost the achievement of self esteem and self love too.
You are loved .. Thanks again for being so "real" about our everyday & even the mundane.
Love & Hugs,
Andrea
Dear Lisa,
Mixing things up has been something I have been working on with my growing and healing.. Especially when you do not make change because of fears that make you stay in patterns.
Routines were all that I had been allowing myself to do, so breaking these blocks and moving forward for me has been like a pheonix rising up from the ashes.
This blog touched a cord, because the routines that I have were the only thing that held a state of normalcy for me, I still need lots of structure because. Yes it does make me feel safe.
INSIDE OUT is something I am looking forward to, my journey has been facinating Lisa, since I met you,,,,,,,, I
Welcome back. Lists = L love them. Had them all the time I was working, compiled one every night before I went home so knew what was needed the next day. Always completed at least 90% of the list allowing for changes on the day. Since I have retired so have my lists. Now I know why I am so disorganised and getting nothing done. You have been the key to starting my lists again. Will start right now. Thank you.
Hi Lisa,
The air is thin there in Machu Picchu, and really takes some getting used to. I would adore going, but I would not be in good enough shape, and the air issue would be a factor, but what an incredible place! I admire you for going, and hope you see a lot of amazing things (good possibility!) Have the best time, and be well!
Hugs and love always,
Cheryl
xxoo!
PS. I love making lists too, but I can never find them when I need them! I MUST get more organised!!
l seriously write 10 lists a day, it is a joke amongst friends and family. Racca and her notes :P xxx
Hi Lisa, welcome back and glad to hear you are feeling refreshed. Good to know another list freak haha. Have just finished reading your book, wow wow wow. Amazing, so thankyou so much. A book that I will read again and again. Love to you, Holly and Charlie from Auckland (in almost Winter, grrrrrr) - Shirley xxx
Hello Lisa,
I'm very happy to read you. You are right, lists help a lot, it is like when we tidy things around the house, it looks like we organise our brain... ;-)
I definitely have to make a list cause I have a tendency to give my projects lately...
I hope you, Holly and Charlie are fine and full of energy,
Gros bisous,
Lise
Lisa,
I just finished reading your book and wanted to say "thank you". It was wonderful and gave me such a good feeling. Now if I could only get my husband to read it. He has endured so many losses and holds so much anger. Thank you again :)
how can i reach you or have a session, i don't know if you plan on a trip to the states or Oklahoma but I need you
Hello Lovely Lisa,
I couldn't agree with you more! I find that when I'm feeling overwhelmed, it really helps to write a list of my priorities and stick to a routine. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your show. I watch it regularly and find much comfort in it. Three weeks ago our dog of 14 years passed away. The evening of his passing I excused myself to the bedroom to let my tears flow freely and turned on the TV to drown out my sobs. It just so happened that your show was on and you had mentioned a dog that was with someone that had passed over...that meant so much to me and gave me so much needed comfort.
I really admire you for your work and the comfort and clarity that you give to people. I would love to one day have the opportunity to have a visit with you...it's on the top of my wish list and I do believe that one day it will happen!
xoxo

I use pink post-it notes for all my lists and contacts. They are everywhere! Universe has prompted me to get an outside office space for my readings but I'm afraid the walls will all be pink if I don't get organized. Thanks for the nudge!
The things that are happening to me at the moment are scary, strange and also exciting. Sometimes I think im going mad then I go to Lisa Williams.com and read all the messages and blogs and some how I feel normal!
Hi Lisa,
I am interested in purchasing your citrine slab but would like to know if your product is heat treated on natural citrine. Also, if it is heat treated does it contain the same healing properties as natural citrine.
It always takes great courage to be willing to try new things and be open to possibilities. I always liked the concept of the indian tradition of the 'give away". Sometimes until we are willing to give things up in our lives we don't have openings for new energy because we are full. Releasing patterns or things in our lives can be very freeing and eye opening as everything has energy tied up in it. :) Being willing to trust and allow new experiences is much like the changing of seasons -we grow and continue to adapt.
It can start with the simplest of things....just one.:)
Just saying "Hi." Thanks for being a ray of sunshine wherever you appear.
peace....deb t/illinois
Congratulations for the routine you have set in place. I'm sure you will both be stars.
And for your lovely post. - Routine gives you the legs you need sometimes to move. I dont' know what i'd do without it. Bless you and Holly on your travels and everyone who is attending. Looks magical.
Hi Lisa,
I always write a list of priorities for the day. I watch your show every week and hope one day to meet you. Your are so real and such a comfort. Love your latest book. Bless you Rita.
I am very dissappointed that Lisa is not doing private readings. This is where her gift can be best used by giving hope to those suffering a loss such as I am.
Hi Lisa,
And thankyou once again for your words. I know i was deffinetely meant to read them, as its 2.30 am and i couldn't sleep. Ikept hearing your name and knew i had to come on here. Its exactly how i feel at the moment and have been soooo frustrated with myself. So thankyou i will get up in a few hours and remember your words..and i wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do xxx
''Gidday" Lisa
I felt that I had to get in touch with you .. I'm not sure if this is the right place to do it and I hope that you get this message :)
I have just finished reading your book '' Life Among the Dead " .. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
There is one particular 'story' in your book (where you talked about waking up & felt like you were being smothered and couldn't move or speak) .. I had the same experience some years ago & it was very frightening, I must say! .. now I am not 'gifted' nor am I religious but Boy did I pray that night!! I truly believed that if I didn't fight this ''entity'' with all my might I would surely die! (it''s extremely difficult to put it into words how terrifying it really was!)
I can relate to alot of what you had to deal with during your 'single parent' times as well as I was in the same boat for about 10 years .. I am now (very recently) married to,who I believe is my soul mate , life partner and best friend.
I came to your show when you visited Melbourne 2 years ago and thouroughly enjoyed it .. you are simply amazing!& I would love to meet you oneday, you are such a natural down to earth lady with a fantastic outlook on life! ♥
Looking forward to reading your next book Survival of the Soul :) ♥
