How can we help?
Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 05:21PM It's a time of need at them moment for many people and as Holly and I watched the news that was unfolding on the TV a few days ago to witness Christchurch, a beautiful city which has been turned to ruin, and a site of devastation and destruction, it takes us to a place of being thankful.
It did for me.
When we arrived in Christchurch a little over a week ago, Holly said to me, that she didn't want to be a on a high floor as she feared that there would be another quake. We were put on the 13th floor of all things. Sometimes knowing information can be really hard and you never know what you can do with it. Who would listen to you? I remember seeing 9/11 and Princess Diana's death… but who do you tell and who would listen. Sadly you don't have specifics about when this information is going to come about. Sometimes you see things a long time before anything happens, and then it could be only days before.
Either way, it's not easy knowing things like this, and it certainly freaked Holly out when we were watching it on TV.
What it took me to, is that we are having a lot of natural disasters which are hitting the world. The floods, the cyclones in this part of the world where I am at the moment are only mentioning a few. Yet what it brings is a togetherness and healing. It brings people together of all walks of life to help. They bond over the destruction. Its sad but true.
I watched how work mates helped each other from the rubble, and how strangers gave a helping hand to those in need. How doctors came running and gathered supplies to help the injured from stores and cars, and how many people didn't go home until they knew that their friends were safe. Something like this brings out the good in everyone, you rush to do what you can, and help out in the small ways.
In a way it's healing but we can do without this. Something I often question, I don't have all the answers and many think I do because I have a direct link to spirit, however, I wonder if the world was united in it's healing and we come together, would these disasters happen? It is the universes way to get us to love and help each other? It's possible.
So lets pretend that, that is the case, why not come together with love, and share this. Respect each others opinions and understand the pain that is caused. Lets stop over reacting to petty issues and look at the bigger picture. Be aware of what message we are projecting out and making it our reality. Its something that I have talked about for so long, however listening to Holly and her making me aware of things, I've taken it to another level and changed my life again for the better.
We can all do it. We can all have an effect on everyone around us. Those random acts of kindness we share, opening a door, being someone a coffee, helping a stranger. Just a smile can make someones day! These are the things that we can all do to make a change and share the love in the world. It's been a journey of this, and someone recently at the Melbourne show, gave me some 'Ripple cards' and they do just that. They have random acts of kindness on them, and messages just to share with others. I loved the concept, and now in the wake of this earthquake it's become more apparent that we have to share the love and help others.
So think about the love that you have, and what you want in your life. Bring it in and project it to others, and who knows it could change the world!

Lisa -- I too saw 9/11 before it happened, and other disasters. I didnt know what to do with that info. But when it did happen -- I stepped up to the plate to help in anyway I could. I gave all of my time & resources to volunteer my services. We can ALL help -- even with a small, simple gesture....we each have the power to make a HUGE difference. At this very moment, I am sending my blessings, healing & love to ALL in need around the globe. xxxooo
hello lisa, what a amazing caring blog and thankyou us all in new zealand. seeing the footage on the tv does bring back memerys of 9/11. yes the beautiful garden city of nz is now a pile of rubble and the citys main attraction the christchurch cathedral which took 40 years to build now also likly to be destryed, its so amazing what mother nature can do to bring people together. its show how everyone will help those stuck in the rubble it shows those who really do care and show who your freind really are in a time of need.
love to all those affected by the quake, you holly and charlie
Thank you for that wonderful message..... you are a lovely lady and I'm glad you're in the world :)
That is a beautiful message Lisa, thank you!
The recent natural disasters have certainly been an eye opener- almost restored my faith in people (not to sound too corny lol). Floods, tropical cyclones & bush fires here in Oz & now more earthquakes in NZ :-S
When we had the floods here in Queensland- luckily myself, my friends & family were not directly affected, however a 2 minute drive down the road where the floods reached our neighbourhood was a scary & eerie sight. But then you'd spot all the helpers going door to door, helping complete strangers out of the floods on boats or helping them carry possessions away from the water, etc. As much as I wanted to help out, physically I couldn't- but it did inspire me to help out in the only way I could really, which was coming back home, going through all our clothes & toys & donating what we could to the cause.
Merely a week after the floods hit our area it was almost unrecognisable as a disaster zone. The amount of blood, sweat & tears that the volunteers put in to help clean up was unbelievable!
My thoughts go out to all those who have lost family & friends, homes & businesses- not just in the recent earthquakes in NZ but everywhere that has been affected by natural disasters this year. It's going to be a long recovery process, but at least we can all have faith in knowing that there are a heck of a lot of people out there, willing to spare time to help out- even risk their own lives to help those in trouble.
Sorry that reply ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated lol, hope I didn't bore you :-S Thanks for reading it though <3
Hi Lisa, I have had tears for all the people who dont know where their love ones are and are waiting. Its so devestating. It is true as you as you say so much good spirited help comes after tragedy. You are an amazing person and you bring so much comfort to so many people. My daughter and I met you at your Melbourne show and you did a reading for the lady sitting next to us in the audience. The lady next to us told me with tears she was hoping for you to read her because she had alot she was unable to cope with in the last 2 years.I felt bad for wanting to hear from my Dad at that moment, because she was so emotional. When the lady raised her hand to the description you were giving I felt so happy for her she could hardly talk. How amazing to witness that thank you Lisa my 12yo daughter had tears in her eyes too and she always tells me off from crying .We will be seeing you again when you visit Melbourne .Hollys rings are so beautiful
hey Ladies...( Lisa & Holly )
I received information about the quakes, and i have been aggitated for a few weeks because of it..And exactly what you said, even if you do know things are going to happen, can you really change the outcome? I don't think we could ever change everything...because everyone has free will. By telling people, you maybe able to make them listen, but ulitmately, it's their free will to do what they need to do with the information? I guess what i have learned, is that things are meant to be, even if they are devastating disasters...If people like myself can see these things happening before it happens, it's pretty clear that it was always meant to be..This backs up your thoughts that sometimes, we need the world to come together and unite..These natural distasters do get our attention as to what is really important to us?
Thanks- Love me XXX
Hi Lisa,
I'ts amazing when there is adversity and cataclysmic happenings how human beings stop thinking of themselves and turn to help their fellow man.
Let's all send love and strength to those you who are going through these difficult times so they may find peace in their hearts and know there is light at the end of the tunnel,
Looking forward to seeing you at Mandurah on Sunday
Hi Girls. I was at your show on Wednesday the 16th Feb in Christchurch. I live here. As my partner and I were walking back to our car, we were looking around at the previous's earth quakes damage in Sept 4 2010. We thought the city had got away with alot of the damage from that quake and we thought how lucky we were. And 6 days later our city has been bought to its knees. It amazing what 60 seconds of Mother Nature can do. Unfortunatly with the loss of life, the loss is so much greater. Fortunatly the those who can help from around the world have rushed to help without a second thought. The good news stories of Cantabs helping each other. People looking after each other has been outstanding. Thank you for all your kind thoughts, There is a hard road ahead.
I so agree with you Lisa!
It's a shame these disasters are "needed" to bring people together like this, but hopefully we all can learn that unconditional love and support will help save our world we live on.
I'm really an animal person because people throughout the years have brought me down, but my apprecition for others has started to be uplifted, thanks to people like you, Lisa, and all the other people that make a big difference in this world.
It's heartlifting to see that people do care.
Beeing loved and needed, fed and nourished, is what everyone needs to have a decent and happy life.
Everybody deserves that!
All we have to do is give a helping hand, or just a smile and it'll maybe make someone's day! =^D
Lots of love from Oslo, Ingrid K. xoxoxo
PS. I sure hope you have a "Living from the Inside Out 'I Believe' Weekend" in Oslo sometime!
Would have absolutely loved to go to the one in Philadelphia, Pa., and say hello to childhood freinds at the same time, but can't afford the airfare... ;(
Love this blog, Lisa!
It is just where I was trying to get to in myself, but hadn't managed it.
Lots of Love
Lana

A smile costs nothing, but gives much-
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it usually lasts forever.
None are so rich that can get along without it-
And none are so poor but that can be made rich by it.
It enriches those who receive, without making poor those who give-
It creates sunshine in the home,
Fosters good will in business,
And is the best antidote for trouble-
And yet it cannot be begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is of no value
Unless it is given away.
Some people are too busy to give you a smile-
Give them one of yours-
For the good Lord knows that no one needs a smile so badly
As he or she who has no more smiles left to give.
35 years ago I gave the above poem in a card to my father... 35 years later if all I can give is a smile know it is given with love x
Lisa, your blog is so true, my daughter and i were watching the reprts on TV as well, and i said to her its so sad that it takes tradgedy to bring out the best the in people. every day i try to smile at every person i see for its the simple things that can make a big differance to someones life and it causes a ripple affect to spread. raise someones spirit and it raises the spirit of every person they come into contact with, just like the butterfly affect, only all good,,, your comment about knowing things before they happen .. yes its hard, we look at it now as a warning of whats to come for yes people look at you like your mad if you say to much :( and its like a cross to bere untill it unfolds,,,hugs and love. to you and holly and i hope the rest of the tour is more peacefull,,,xxx
Beautifully put, Lisa.
The ripple effect.....it starts with you and radiates out to everyone, everything.
Let what begins with us be something good; let what ripples out to others be positive and guided by love.....
That is an excellent point Lisa. I look forward to seeing a world where people don't wait for disasters in order to treat people well, to give of themselves, to love others and show it through action. It is inspiring to see people do these things after horrible scenarios unfold, yet we all need to be this way ALL of the time. It really isn't that hard to do, in fact, it is easier and more fulfilling than doing nothing. God give all those poor folks in Christchurch that lost someone the strength to cope with their crossing. As for us, we just need to keep paying it forward. (Great movie on this topic by the way).
Blessings to you and Holly and safe travels to you as you spread your good works and love around. I agree with John it is not hard to be kind to others, to be thoughtfull. Plus you know if it makes you feel good just imagine how good they must feel...
Love is energy well spent, and released..........
Much love and sympathy for all those affected by sudden and tragic devasation.
Hi Lisa,
I just saw the picture of you and Holly together on the website..
You said that Holly mentioned she hoped there wouldn't be an earthquake..
Is Holly psychic too?
Are you and Holly doing readings together ?
Hope you all will take care of yourselves there in Christchurch, and good luck on your journey.
l am on the same page as you, it is all about bringing us back to oneness. There has been so much pain and hurt but through these experiences people are coming together as one and a realization for some that family, friends, kindness, gratitude and health are what matters. My prayers go out to every person who has been affected by these disasters .xxx

Allo Lisa je suis une de tes plus belle vane de tout le monde qui t'aime <3<3<3<3
You saw this coming in Christchurch???? Why did you not tell someone, I would of believed you. My friend and I where at the end of your Christchurch show 16th Feb. Kirsten invited you to her workplace at the zoo for sometime out.
This has been the most horrific thing to happen to NZ let alone Christchurch, the images and the aftershocks have been unbearable. I hope you have rested now as you looked wrecked that night. Good luck on the rest of your career/ tour.
How true Lisa. It's sad that we've had to experience such tragedy to bring out the best in people during such horrific ordeals. I have never felt so much love, support and comradery as I did during the Brisbane floods. You could feel it everywhere you went, the shops, work...everywhere. Kindness and love was all around as people supported each other. I am sure New Zealand is feeling some of that right now but the grief and fear must be unimaginable. Sending love and healing to those affected.
