Move the ego aside!
Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 09:20AM Here I am in Australia, and what a wonderful country it is. I am here for the workshop weekend and we have 1000 people here, who I am teaching which has to be the biggest teaching events ever that I have taught! It's incredible, but what is even more incredible is the connections that people are making!!!
I love it. The whole resort is full of people who are on the weekend, and that in its self is amazing, but what I love is the love that is generated in a room. You would think that the more people there are, the more complaints that there are about, not being able to see me, or teaching in a different way, etc etc but no... everyone has been incredible.
It's like we have all been bought together for a reason. People are making connections with others who they never thought they would meet. It's like a joining of souls (oooooh I think I might use that tomorrow) but seriously it is. We have all come together to help each other.
You know we never stop learning no matter who you are and what you do, you can never know it all. I say that all the time, I learn off so many people. It's our ego that stops us from admitting that. Our ego stops us from doing many things. But on of the things is learning as we think to ourselves, 'Oh I know this I know that, I don't need to know about that situation' where in reality sometimes we do.
So it's time to move the ego aside and really focus on what we need to, and that is delivering the messages from spirit!!! I love it.
Tomorrow is another exciting day!!! I can't wait!

Oh my goodness another spot on blog entry! he he I love, love, love it!
I was just wittering on in an email to a dear medium friend about how much I have learned from you and from my other Lisa friends, and how just being in this circle has enabled me to take huge strides forward in the work, and how magnificently liberating it all is, and how much better able I am to help people now......it is indeed a soul to soul thing (tip of the hat to Lynn's proprietary use of that phrase) and I too feel that we are all coming together for a reason. Not a stalker weird ooh I know Lisa Williams kind of thing; but a loving look how we can liberate ourselves to be who we are and thereby help others through delivering comfort and messages and information.
The old wisdom returns.
Thanks to you and the classes and this site, several of my closest friends on this planet are people I've met through you. Amazing!!

I can vouch for what you have said as a lot of friends whom I and other friends could not attend have met thru this site thanks to you! are currently at the workshop with you and I and other friends have met quite a few of them even some of them have been in our homes here in Sydney, Victoria and Queensland,Broken Hill etc!!
In the breaks at the workshop they have rang us or texted us and said the energy and love is amazing and that you are looking really great and they cant wait either for today to learn more from you and they are amazed what they learnt already yesterday (Saturday) and already opening up more!!!
They are currently just finishing their brekkie and then meeting outside the ballroom and getting ready to dash to their seats!!!! Woooooo Hoooooooo!!!!
So have another great day as it will be and enjoy the rest of your stay in Australia!!!!

Hi LIsa... I have only recently discovered you but am very impressed. Iwas just watching one of your live shows and you were being interviewed about coming to Australia so I went on the website and found that you are here at the moment!!!!!!!! It is a shame you have come so far and aren't doing any other shows. Is there a chance you will be back and doing any shows in Sydney? I would love to come to see you , I find it very fascinating and very believable. Anyway I will keep my eye on he website as I presime this is the best place to get info on what you are doing and where you are doing it.Thanks Michelle

Wow, 1000 lucky spiritual people in one room learning from the best... that is incredible!!! It sounds perfect and purposeful.
Oh yes, got to kick whatever is left of my ego to the curb. It truly just gets in the way and is quite annoying, but mostly suffocating. It is funny you should write this today, because through a private healing session last night, I struggled to just let go. It was truly a battle to submit to another even with a healer with the best of intentions. For me, it was a humbling experience to allow myself to literally be in the hands of another person looking for my weak spots and block... I thought I was going to crumble. My gut knew that this was a good energy healer for me, but I have to admit my ego (my mind) would not allow me to let go and it was quite an internal fight. However, the healer's calm energy won and assisted in getting me there. Eventually, it happened and that is when the true healing began. Gee whiz!!!
What I have learned last night is even when we think our ego is not in the way or we are not consciously thinking about it, it shows itself in our body by blocking the healing energy from going where it needs to go. Amazing!

Two of my friends from our weekly psychic development class (with medium Sunny Burgess) went to Lisa's classes this weekend. I wish I could have too, as I have been a great admirer of Lisa for so many years. It would have been so nice to say hi and thanks for all the wisdom she has and continues to share. I am trying to be of service to the universe with music as a singer www.cate.net.au and raise awareness and funds for charities especially "Beyond Blue" and the Homeless. I love Lisa's warmth and humility and hope she has a wonderful stay here. Maybe I will get to her next workshop which I hope will be in Brisbane where I live. Dreams do come true.Fingers crossed.
So happy to hear that the weekend is going smoothly. I was thinking Of coming up but have just come home from a cruise so too soon to go away again, my dogs would not like it if I vanished again. How lucky those people attending this weekend are to have such a wonderful and fun teacher.
WOW... I Have had the most awe inspiring weekend at the Mediumship Retreat on the Gold Coast Australia.... I met alot of lovely people.... I shocked myself in the one on one readings... Never have I been able to connect the way i did today..., So i thank you Lisa for the opportunity to enlighten myself I feel truely blessed to have participated in this very special weekend... can't wait for you come back again ...

(Joanne) Thanks LIsa had a ball was wondering if you could answer my question on psychic attack (ie) been pinned down in bed by a dark shadow and not been able to move or speak, until my partner spoke and the dark shadow lifted, it really scared me and i would love for you to explain what this means?. I had only seen you twice on tv and this afternoon was such a treat seeing you do the live readings. I laughed out loud, i smiled alot and there were tears streaming down my face. It was a very moving afternoon indeed, and I just want to thank you for coming to Australia and bringing this amazing group of peopel together.
I came not knowing anyone and went home with 2 great new friends (not to mention a lot of new information)

Dear Lisa and everyone at the workshop,
I am so glad you had such a special time together. I am sure these are memories that will stay with you forever. I always find it so awesome to move forward on our spiritual paths and it clearly sounds as if that is exactly what happened during this workshop. I am sure the time was too short. I know many of you have been waiting since last year, and now all too soon, the weekend is over, but I have no doubt it was so worth it.
I hope some of you are going to share your experiences with us on the boards, as well as some pictures... can't wait!
Lisa, you are absolutely right... the ego can really get in the way at times, of so many things, in so many different ways. It is one of our constant inner battles, but I also think we are halfway there if we are aware of it, but as Dreamspirit says, we often don't even realise how often our egos are standing in our way... clever little buggers they are!

O M G .... what an amazing weekend... I was also another one of the lucky 1000. I also meet a couple of amazing people. One lady Linda who is much older than me, but is going to a life time friend. We conneced going down the lift on Saturday morning on our way to registar. I also had a lady do a reading on me today, who was right one the ball. She didnt know me from a bar of soap, but went on to talk about the one thing that means the world to me.
I have learnt alot about myself and the spirit world over this weekend, and am going to continue on this journey. You have inspired me since the first time i ever saw you on tv. I went out and brought your book and that inspired me even more. You are an incedible woman, full of love kindness, patience, funny, down to earth, normal and a great teacher. I love you for all that you are and do for to have a gift like yours is out of this world. ... But as you said this weekend you are normal and we are the normal ones, and after i thought about that a bit more i now believe it to. Single life must really agree with you, cause you also look stunning. I have never seen you looking more beautiful.

I would like to say such a BIG thank you for coming to Australia. I have had the best experiences at your workshop. I have met like minded people and connected with them through spirit. It has been the best gathering, and I came alone and was so comfortable chatting amongst everyone there (and I don't do alone very often!)
The information that you have given us has been like a great refresher course for me (I have taken a break from readings for a while) and now I feel more confident and able to attempt to get back in there!!
Please come back again-and if the cruise idea gets off the ground, count me in!!

Nice to have you here in Australia. I am glad you are enjoying our country.
I enjoy your TV show and it is good to see people reconnect with departed friends and family even if only briefly. One day I will also reconnect with my friends and family. So much to do yet. So I need to stay for a while.
You are very brave to share people's pain when they died. How many people could tolerate that? But is it really necessary?
I live in Sydney and it is pretty hard to beat. Maybe I am prejudiced. We have a nice harbour and people from other countries are surprised to see so many trees in the suburbs. My friends in America and Europe tell me about snow.The weather is usually nice although we have had a lot of rain lately. We never get snow here but, from what I have heard, I have no reason to be envious about that. I hope you manage to visit Sydney.

I'm now back in Sydney and back to earth! The most amazing thng I found was that everyone in the room had the same philosophical beliefs that I have - all of us could have answered the questions in the penaltimate session! And yet we have all acquired this information through our own research and experiences. You also gave out the same answers we would have given out!!
To have 1000 people all in tune and on the same wavelength in matters of spiritual belief, without having been 'coached by you, or anyone else beforehand', is absolutely mind-blowing!!!
Thanks for a great time!! And thank you too to all the friends I made over the weekend.

I attended the conference on Saturday and found it very interesting and enjoyable, however on Saturday night I had the most terrifying spiritual attack that scared me so much I didn't return for the Sunday sessions.
The attack was in the form of a black shape standing at the side of my bed and then pressing down on me as if they wanted to suffocate me. I screamed and shook for an hour after wards. I wasn't asleep at the time and it wasn't a dream.
I wondered if anyone else experienced this. You said that the spirits couldn't hurt you, but still we needed to do a protection exercise and grounding after the session. This has left me confused. Did the protection etc not work for me? What happened to me? And will it happen again?
I have followed you for a long time and admire your talent. I was even hoping that you would connect with my child on the Sunday, but even the hope of that couldn't entice me back for the Sunday session.
I would really appreciate some answers.
