Lessons in free will
Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 11:59PM It's been a weekend fun with Charlie's Birthday celebrations.
We had planned a huge surprise for Charlie, for his birthday, and that was his dad flying in from the UK. We had it all planned and then sadly the volcano erupted in Iceland and grounded all flights in all european airports for the last few days.
Charlie didn't know and we decided that we should tell him as we had already said that we had a surprise for him. I think the adults were more disappointed than anything as Charlie was ok with it, and carried on opening his presents... kids are kids after all. But at least he knew it was being planned.
What was apparent is that you can't force situations and you can't get upset over something that is out of your control. It was a matter of coping and understanding the situation and actually thinking about the people it really affected.
These are the people in Iceland who had to deal with the floods, the people who can't get home from vacations all over the world. Of course these things are an inconvenience but what can you do... nothing in reality. You can get upset and moan about it all we like but when it's out of your hands there is nothing that can be done. And what you will find is that there is always a reason why something happened.
However when something IS in your control and you are able to do something about it, but decide not to, you have to think about the reasons why you choose to bury your head in the sand or you are dragging your feet. There is always a reason.
But again it's all about timing, things will happen when they are supposed to happen, however what I have noticed over the time that I have been working with Spirits is that they have a habit of interfering. If you drag your feet too long, they will make things happen. It's really interesting.
You may find that they will stop an email being sent out when really you should sit and think about it, they will cut off a phone call when you are just about to put your foot right in it... they will do many things or influence situations. Because we do have a life plan and things have to happen... but then there are times that we miss that pathway and we decide because of free will to make a change.
We all have free will. Even though there are plans in life, we still have decisions. For instance, if you meet someone and they are not able to commit to you, do you decide to wait or move on. Ultimately you were supposed to meet them, but what you do with it, is up to you. The decision is free will, but then the lesson could be in the decision making.
Just like a job that you have been waiting for, or a house that comes available. Many times the lesson is in the decision making and it's making the right decision for you. Are you strong enough to walk away and make a new pathway. Are you ready to wake up to reality instead of living in a little bubble. It's an interesting concept.
Even down to the way we handle situations. Now even though many people have been grounded in the world maybe it's a test of patience or a test of strength or how you decide that you are going to deal with it. Are you going to look at it as a positive or a negative.
So when you do have a decision to make or something like this happens. Stop and feel your feelings within and feel what is the right decision. We all have free will on how we decide we are going to cope with things, but you may find that this has happened for a reason to teach you a lesson for yourself I know it has for me.

I also really hope that all the people that are stranded with the volcano erupting in Iceland will get home really soon to their loved ones.
I think that life can be unfair in somethings especially when you meet the one and then the universe interferes and takes that person away I thinik it is cruel and unkind how some like myself have had this happen and am still asking to this day 3 years on why me why not someone else.
I LOVE this concept!
There have been times when I question why something in my life has gone the way it has. I always believed in things happening for a reason and to have you back it up just makes it more concrete for me. Thank you!

Yup... I almost feel like this post was written for me! So very true... we all have free will... and the lessons are in the decisions we make.
Yep.... when i begin to feel frustrated in a situation, it is then, i actually remind myself to look at the bigger picture, and ask why, this is happening? The reason may well be ,for me to learn something from this situation or experience? At the time, it can seem very over whelming, but i have learnt, by just accepting it, the reason usually becomes apparent...XXXX

Hello Lisa, again a post that falls right into place...;-) Yes things happen for a reason, as you said, should we act on it or let go... tough question. What I know is I cannot bury my head in the sand so I tend to do everything I can, I cretae a tornado around me, not wise enough and if then nothing happens, I let go..
I have many friends who couldn't take their planes and other friends waiting to come back..it is bothering but it is indeed better to be safe..

Having Free Will lis a good thing as long as it makes us taking actions upon situations.
Living Freely is a new path that i’ve discovered…and many roads were there before to arrive as this point…
It was just a question of Timing …and Free Will.

Great reminder, once again Lisa! Im so glad that Charlie enjoyed his birthday anyway! You're right, its usually the ones who did the planning with anticipation, who get disappointed !! lol.
One thing Ive learned with all of the travel Ive done over the last many years -- is it always seems to work out the way its supposed to. No matter what. If I choose to make a run for the connection & it leaves without me....okay, well what to do next. It has always turned out that I got a cat nap, or met a new contact in a restaurant, or read a new book. I know its a big inconvenience, but you're right, we are always where we need to be in order to make choices.

I have been so busy with work that sometimes I missed your blog, but it is still okay because I still can flip the previous blog page(s) and read what you have to say. What I really love coming to your page is, you always have very good advice to give to your fans or readers in uplifting humanity. We all sure need to be reminded time and again because as humans with natural flaws, we tend to be forgetful!
I have been fortunate to have made new friends on FB recently, and surprisingly many are from USA! I am not really into FB friends because I work with clients one on one, and seeing an average 5 clients @day can really drain my energy by the end of the work week! That's the reason as to why I always tell FB friends that I am not so into Cyber friends!
I have been told recenty that in USA now, 1 in 8 people are struggling to feed themselves and their families, and millions are unemployed. But there are other Americans who said that they have not heard of any American dying of hunger! Whatever it is, I wish to share my story here on how I meet an American via FB through friend's invite. Though we are really strangers, my new American FB friend Sherry, has Fb me and asked for financial assistance because her unemployment benefit for the week has been withdrawn and she does not have anyone to help her financially. She is 60 years of age. She said she felt shy and stupid telling me her problem and asking me for help but her friend Kelly, who introduced us, had asked her to approached me. Despite knowing sherry for the last 2 mths, we never actually 'talk', until her email came through asking for the help. I did not think twice about wanting to offer help because she is the 3rd FB friend from USA, telling me the 'same problem', so I actually know what is going on in US despite living across the continents! Fast forward, I communicate with Sherry via emails and FB, and actually sent her monies to see to her immediate needs. Obviously we have exchanged alot of emails and I just want to share this last email that i just sent her this afternoon @work via iphone.

I am overhelmed by your life story. There was too much pain and sadness. Then again you did experienced happiness, love and joy even though it did not last the way you wanted it to be. Life is a cycle of happiness and sadness. Despite you asking for death, you still embrace life with an iota of hope, that maybe, just maybe your destiny will change for the better even though you felt you were fighting a losing battle, and that the ugly face of fate refused to let go of it's grip on you. I know how it felt wanting death over life because I have walked that long dark lonely road with grief and despair, and the excruciating pain was no longer bearable... when we think that no one seem to understand and care enough for our pain and sorrow, living is definitely hell on earth!
Like you, my prayer was finally answered in the nick of time! i was saved by this Divine Intervention through family and friends. That is the difference between us. I still have family and friends who still care, whereas you have lost all avenues of seeking help from your own people. The road seem to come to a dead end with a point of no return. And that was what you have thought... How could GOD or THE CREATOR be so unkind and not hear your cries??? And in the midst of your hopelessness, THE UNIVERSAL MIND actually hear your cries and had sent me to be that person to send help to you!
Do I believe in divine intervention? Yes I do. Do I believe in the Divine Order? Yes, i do. Do I believe in miracles? Yes, I do. Yes, yes, yes!!! I had my share of divine interventions and miracles. I have been blessed with good fortune over the "passed bad fortune" (bad luck)! I remember talking to GOD, asking for health above others, when my health was not in the best condition and it had affected my job and career and translated into much less income!, and I had made a deal with THE CREATOR, that if HE answered to my asking (prayer), I will pay back in kind! So here I am answering HIS calling which is actually my promise that i made many years ago! That conversation with GOD that i had made many years ago came back haunting me when i received Sherry's email asking for the financial help. It was crystal clear, like I just had the conversation very recently!
So Sherry, I want you to know now, that it is not about you anymore. You, feeling bad receiving the piece ($), would be ungracious and ungrateful in the eyes of THE CREATOR. It is about me now. About me putting my money where my mouth is! About me being gracious and grateful for the blessings that i have been given. About me validating my own words. About me making good of my promise to GOD!
Sherry, I want you to know that the feelings of being able to keep my promise to GOD is exhilirating! The feelings of love, joy and happiness is overwhelming when we are able to honor our words to the CREATOR!

Hey Lisa, I think you are right ... I hope things will turn out different for me soon and I can look back and see the lesson in what I've went through. Mike and I have a baby on the way, and I am ready for a new profession or job and to have a beautiful home where we should be. I think there is a lesson in being where we are now, though. I'm 18 weeks now, and we found out it's a boy. We thought it would be a girl and had planned on the name Mirable Luna Hall =). Brilliant post, Lisa. As as ever, I take the wisdom from it - seems spot on for some thoughts which have been rolling around in my head lately. And the thoughts go along the lines of "why am I doing this? " It goes to those times when a situation has persisted for far too long. Really, what AM I doing? If my free will has brought me to this place, then why? And why do I persist if I am moaning all the time? Take the lesson, read the lay of the land, and then use free will to move the situation along.

So sorry for Charlie's Dad not getting there, but I am glad that Charlie is okay in spite of it not working out. Kids are great in that way and are so resilent. I love how you took this situtation to demonstrate a lesson on free will. It really is so key to surviving in life...
Lessons and more lessons... they never do end do they...ha, ha. Too much free will is a killer for me! Sorry, I am just being a drama queen for effect. However, I admit that I tend to lack patience and I am a bit of a control freak specifically at work. I don't do politics well and I like to streamline things (less b.s.) and get things done quickly... one would think this is a good trait. However, when you work on a team, you have learn to compromise and play well with others. Most of the time I do, but yesterday my boss and I were at each other. We both know and recognize that it is not personal and we are smooth sailing again, but I realize that I need to be more cognizant of what he is going through as a manager. There are reasons for things not working out and sometimes we are not privy to the information and have to trust that all will work out in spite of the obstacles. It really is important to let things flow naturally rather than push against it. Even if you think your way is better, there may be a reason why it is not flowing in the first place. Oh this is a lesson that keeps repeating, so I have to pay attention and change my way. Thanks so much for the clear reminder!!!

You talk about spirits interfering. I know that I had a phone reading from a medium from Lily Dale that I had arranged. I kept calling her and couldn't get through to her which was very frustrating. She had to end up calling me and the reading did happen. During the majority of it, my father came through. Later, I knew my father was playing his mischief by that phone call I couldn't make.

I had a few question about beyond... We know that human hve soul but i'm pretty sure that animal too... So can you speak to both? When animal died can they communicate with us like human soul? And can they come back as a human after? Did they have the choice to explain things when us ( human ) have question or when we need to fix there death? When the soul beggin to be in the body? When a women is pregnant , when the baby beggin to have is soul? I know its a lot of question but at the point I am now I need these answers.... You probably know why I'm sure you feel it LOL
