Stand in your power
Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 05:02PM Well I have tried so hard to stay away from this topic but its come up again in my workshop today so I can't ignore it especially when I feel like it's a sign.
Bullying has been huge in the media recently because of the sad cases where some children have died because of bullying, which is a tragic situation. But we are faced will bullies every single day. In every walk of life we cannot escape them. Sadly it's been in my life where I have been bullied for one thing and another and it's only recently that I have had my eyes opened.
I have in so many ways walked around in my own world and taken what people have said or done as I was told to do as gospel and done it. I didn't have a voice I didn't speak up. I suppose that was my fault but in many senses I was not strong enough to say no, to stand up for what I believed, and therefore I was bulled in to certain things, and I have now recently seen it, and it's not something I am prepared to do.
Whats interesting is when your eyes have been opened and the truth has been revealed you see throughout your life, the pattern that you started and continued. The people that you associated with and the ways that people react to you. I was allowing my self to be bullied and so I attracted them, because I didn't respect myself, however with my eyes open I see so much more.
Standing up for something is hard especially when you have been walked over for so long and it feels alien to you, but the more you do it, and the more that you believe in yourself the better. For me its been about finding those people in my life who are coming in out of love and helping because they care and they want to help and want to support. It's not been easy and to change my ways has been difficult to say the least but now it's about standing in your power.
I was asked today how to 'come out' regarding my mediumship, and it was a hard thing and people will all have a judgement, and they will all have an opinion but that shouldn't matter because my world doesn't have an effect on your world and what is happening unless you decide to be involved. For instance, people don't have to believe in my gift if they don't want to and they don't have to read this blog if they don't want to either, they can choose. But people don't want to let others just be free to live there life, they want to interfere in some way. They want to give an opinion but thats up to them.
But it's about being comfortable with who we are and what we stand for and knowing that whatever we choose is right for us. It's not always right for everyone but if it's right for you then so be it! As long as you treat everyone with love and respect and you treat them how you would want to be treated, does it matter what they do for a living, their sexual preferences, their choice of partners etc etc. It's about the person that matters.
So lets stop having negative opinions and come from a place of love and appreciate all the beauty that surrounds us. Be free to live life the way that we see fit and know that it's your life and you are entitled to live it your way... with love in your heart!
Have a fabulous weekend
Lisa xx

Oh dear Lisa! I don't know how often I use these same words too..
They are so true hun. Thank you for giving me the words I need when I doubt myself with bad thoughts..
I love you Lisa, and I hope you are doing great.. You deserve that!
Hugs n kisses
Another great blog, Lisa. I love and respect you. Just the way you have to stand up for yourself, I have to stand up just for believing in you when I tell people this and that about you. The people in my life who are uncomfortable with this subject will just have to roll their eyes if they want. This is just one more reason why I love that you have drawn so many like-minded people together where we have a common ground to express ourselves to each other on.
I'm not a medium and that's why I'm not there with y'all this weekend but I love and support my friends who are there....and you.
Love you,
Tempe
Amen Lisa! Thank you! needed to hear that today! Sending you love & huge hugs ...
Dear Lisa ❤
Thank you very much for the beautiful article and all your wonderful work.
You are a present for the world!
I hope you to visit Japan someday. May your week be blessed.
Love and Light.❤ 愛
I don't understand people who judge. who are we to judge how people choose to live their lives. If I don't like a person I will still tolerate that person. Treat people the way you would like to be treated.
Lisa -- this topic has been a theme happening in my life for months now. I used to not understand when my elders would say....just wait til your 40's, you no longer give a hoot what anyone else says....you LIVE your life for who you are. I thought it was a bunch of garble....until I realized that it was actually the theme of my life lesson. TO LIVE & BE who we are.....w/out judgement & allowing our potential -- realizing there IS enough to go around. I babble, but I hope I make a point. YOU are loved, & respected......and there is room for everyone on this planet & beyond. xxoooox To each their own -- with LOVE xxoo
Fantastic post Lisa! Well said!!!
Lisa...that was really important what you said..Thank you.. XXX
You said it perfect Lisa. Especially, in ending with having love in your heart. That is the key for everything, because with Love in your heart you are open to all the diversitys life has to offer, and it gives you a level of acceptance, not to judge others and their beliefs..
Thank you for sharing this blog.
I think as I gets older it really does'nt seem to matter what people think - I really don't care now....You really have to clear out the people in your life who bring you down in any way....I struggled for years to be liked - to fit in - but it was'nt until I became 'me' did I make friends who are genuine ... it takes guts to be the odd one out but in the end we are the ones who are true to ourselves!
Stay Strong...
What a great post, Lisa! We have evolved as a society that is highly critical and judgmental of the things that make us unique and special. Fear is the theme of any given day on the news. But you make a great point acknowledging that if we approach each other from a space of love and genuine concern, while also respecting ourselves, we can make this a better world. Kee up your important work, Lisa, and keep sharing your wonderful gifts with the world!
Lisa, my heart has been touched by your words. I have recently had to accept that I have gotten myself into a work situation that is destroying my soul. Reading your blog has given me so much to think about and has made me see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Your words have made me feel that I am not alone and that in time I can move on and learn from this.
I am sending you my heartfelt thanks with lots of love and light. Keep up the excellent work.
I had to "come out" so many times in my life !
As a lesbian first, then as a Medium...
And I was not to sure to say that I was gay on my blog (Because it was only about my life as a medium) but all my readers are ok with it and I'm now glad that I told so, because I had the courage to tell everything that I am.
And I had no bullying since I "came out"
When we accept everything that we are completly, people have no choice but to "fit" with it (I'm not sure about the word lol)
Love you Lisa <3
As ever, your blog touches on a theme so many of us have in our lives. It's only been recently I realized how consistent the theme of You are Not Worthy has reared its head in my life. Well pish on that now!
I have come to realize that there are people who gain energy from putting other people down. I no longer have to feed them. Done!
A wise old queen (RuPaul!) once said: "What you think of me ain't none of my business!". And to a large extent I think that is true. What Tempe wrote above is so true: Lisa, you have brought together so many of us who think this way, and made it safe for us. Bless you for that.
It's not easy to "come out" as a medium. So I do it very cautiously. But I'm also surprised at who looks at me and says Really? That is cool!
Thank you Lisa, you always seem to put what I feel in to words.......
Great Blog, Lisa!
You're absolutely right about Bullying.
Let me add that bystanders, who witness Bullying and do nothing about it, are as guilty as the bully himself. Sometimes, we have to get involved and ask for Respect. It can be hard to do but so worth the effort!
LIVE & LET LIVE!
And the world will be a happier place. :)
Much LOVE,
l couldn't agree more, hugs Racca xoxoxoxo
I really like that--"Stand in Your Power." Too often we do not do that. We have to remember that our life is just that, ours. And it is our choice to be who we are. I often think of Susan Boyle's inspirational song, "Who I was Born to Be." That is my theme song. Finally. Thanks, Lisa.
You will already make it Lisa!
For me your last blogs and your messages are so clear,
I know what you wan't to say!
But it's up to YOU honey to do it....
Stay strong and trust the people how wanting to help you!
*much love and a million hugs U'r way...* Sina
I love you, Lisa! Thank you for writing this. This means so much to me, you have no idea. There are no coincidences. Everything happens for a reason!! I love you, I love you, I love you soo much. You are my idol, my inspiration! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! For being you! :)
Hi Lisa, I agree that it is not bad to have an oopinion. But it is bad when someone whats there opion to be very impressionable, espically if you do not agree with it. Some things in life are very personal choices. Just because it is not right for you does not mean it is not right for someone else. It is o.k. if everyone isn't at the same place in their life where they can view those same ideas. It is amazing that people want to take the time to argue over who is right, instead of what is right. If your heart was in the right place this would never happen.
Lisa, your words are so true. I have spent most of my life trying to please others. I am now in a process of breaking this pattern. And it feels so good!
Light and love to you, from me
Wow! -cool Tudor replicas Thanks for sharing.
