Honoring a dear friend!

It is approaching the anniversary of a dear friends passing, and I would like to spend sometime tonight talking about this. This man impacted my life in such an incredible way and he also impacted yours too, especially if you are reading this blog.

His name was Merv Griffin. For those of you who didn't know of this man, he was the most generous and kind hearted man you would ever meet... however, I wouldn't cross him you would certainly know your place. But if it wasn't for my meeting with Merv 5 years ago, I wouldn't be sitting here, in California writing this blog.

Yes I might be writing this blog but I certainly wouldn't have the followers that I do now, and my message wouldn't be heard my as many people. I owe so much to that man who touched and impacted our lives in such a big way.

It was 2 years ago that I heard that Merv had passed. I knew it was going to happen as everything had led me to this, I was heading to a party at the Hilton in Beverly Hills, which is a hotel that he owned, and I drove up Merv Griffin Way... I passed the hospital that he was in, and every time I passed it, which was daily as I lived so close to it, I sent healing his way. This one night, the healing never went... I normally feel the healing leave me, but this one night I didn't know why, it didn't want to leave.

I realize now that this was because his time on this earth plane was about to end... he passed away on a few hours after that.

It's amazing how you look back and realize how your life has changed and what has happened. Sometimes we take things for granted, and I suppose we are all guilty of this, but I look back and realize how this man helped me change not only my life in a huge way, but also the lives of others. Merv helped me spread the word by creating a TV show around my life working as a Medium. He was so fascinated by my gift that he encouraged me as much as my husband did. He helped me touch people who I never thought I could.

Through discovering me and putting me out there in front of millions of people, he created a show that made people stop and look and listen. He helped change the way people saw the paranormal, he changed their perspective, and was able to show, a 'normal' person with a normal life, dealing with and working with an incredible gift that to her was 'normal'. He bought it out in to the world.

so I would like to thank Merv Griffin and of course his team, who helped me come to terms with my gift and know that I couldn't have done it without his support and love and nurturing.

Merv Griffin was and still is, in my eyes an amazing and loving being!

With love

Lisa xx

Thank you ((((((Merv)))))) for believing in Lisa and helping her to grow into the phenominal person she is....I just know Merv is smiling knowing how "big" you have become, Lisa and his heart is so very warmed by all the healing you give ppl. And Lisa, thank you for showing us another side to Merv as we often don't see or know what is inside of a person when they are "famous"....it is so refrreshing when we hear that they really aren't so different from us "normal" ppl.
Without a doubt, Merv adored you, Lisa and I am sure he is feeling all the love and admiration you have for him. Merv is yet another example of how one can make a difference in someone's life and Lisa, u have certainly followed his example. Well done, Merv.
Warm Hugs

Dear Sweet Lisa ... I have been a member of your extended family for several months now. I read your blogs as often as I can. I am usually not on here this late but am drawn to write a comment. Might I add my first comment to a blog. :)
He was and is a kind and generous soul that lives on in all that he gave. Through him I was brought to you and with that have come to realize so much in my life. Since that time I try to not take anything for "granted". I am trying to live each day to it's fullest.
And have also come to realize and have found comfort that those that are gone from this life are not far from sharing in my life. Thanks Merv and Lisa.

Thank you once again for your blog. Right time once again for me to read this. I think that I do my best to not take anything or anyone for granted. But I know we can all be a little more humble so thank you.

Dear Lisa,
Then I owe Merv a huge thank you, because I am 53 years old, and a very questioning and analytical person and it is only since I have known you that I have found inner peace and lost my fear of dying. You cannot believe the relief and happiness this has brought to me. My feeling of ongoing depression is hugely relieved (also asked for a healing when I joined 3 weeks ago). Through you, I now know what it means to love myself and that I am a beautiful soul and feel totally more connected to God and the Divine. Wow!! I now turn to my book of Guidance by the Angels, use my crystals regularly and HAVE JOINED YOUR BLOG!! Please either get more TV shows to South Africa, or sell DVD's of your shows through your Online Store. I am buying most of my Christmas presents and my birthday present from your store. I am actually wanting to give you a gift for a change with all my heart. I make limited editions of lingerie and sleepwear using Italian stretch fabrics. On each item I embroider a silk ribbon rose. Since you are feeling so great after losing weight, and I noted that you and Sue enjoy shopping(!), I would love to send you one of these nighties (some people have used this particular style as a slipdress... with flat pumps and a shrug it looks rather nice!). I have just connected with you so much and told my hubby you are the most loving, warmest, unjudgemental person I have ever had the pleasure of "meeting". Maybe it's also because you are a Gemini, as is my hubby. I am a Libran. I would love to say thank you in this way. Also I have made it myself, and I can give it over to you with all my love and blessings. If you read this, then this gift is meant for you. Love you lots, Jeanette (Plettenberg Bay)

Lisa, this was so touching and a blessing to read. This saturday the 15th will be the 28th birthday of my son who died three years ago. As I write this (after 12 midnight) it is my birthday, we were three days apart. Although the pain is overwhelming at times, reading this blog brought a sense of comfort. Remembering how much our family and friends mean to us is a blessing we do take for granted at times. You bring a goft to people that otherwise would remain lost and confused. I had a near death experience several years before my son Robby died so I know there is an after life. Merv gave us all a gift when he sent you out into the public, he was an amazing man. Thank you for sharing you deepest feelings....blessings with a hug.

In life, there are sometimes people who build us, change us or influence us in such a way and we are all so grateful and they will always be a part of ourselves.. ;-)

I hope you take the time to rest Lisa and take care of yourself ;-)

Yes, I remember Merv from the age of me being a child. He was a very kind soul. And that was only from me seeing his TV personality. I can only imagine how much more "real" the rest of him was in person...

They say birds of a feather flock together my dear...That is why you both were brought together... There is a reason for everything!!!!

Bless you and Bless Merv!!!

A lovely tribute to a wonderful and very talented man. I grew up watching Merv on TV and enjoying his creations: Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. But he saved the best for last, by launching you, Lisa, on your television career. I know he's around and nudging you in the right direction for your next big step in that area!

Someone once asked him what he wanted written on his tombstone, and he replied, "Stay tuned!" We will, Merv! Can't wait to see what you're going to inspire next from the other side!

Much love to you and Lisa, too.

Hey there Lisa,

What a sweet blog honoring Merv! I bet Merv is reading this with a big bright angel smile.

Just remember this was your calling and Merv was all part of the master plan. Merv believed in you and had all the necessary connections to get you started. The Universe has a way of providing us with all the opportunities but ultimately it is up to us to see it and you did. You are the one who made all the decisions and sacrifices and of course Kev as well. I am also thankful to Merv because I may not have had the honor of connecting to you and the site. To think it all started with chilling out on the couch channel surfing while stuffing my face with a snack...LOL...so true. The show led me to your site which helped me incredibly during a critical time in my own life that I don't talk about very much and is still very raw and painful... a real turning point that was necessary to send me on a new path. Honestly, my life could have gone in so many directions at that time. Although I believed in Spirit and the existence, I really did not have anyone that understood what I was going through... it was such a trip! The world I once knew no longer appeared the same to me. How does one deal with this? Obviously, the universe always has a plan for us as I said. When we ask for help, it shows up. It is beautiful and amazing thing!

Thanks for your tremendous blog that is really so uplifting!

Love and Giant Hugs,
Dreamspirit

I didn't know Merv Griffin helped you get your start. How cool is that. He sure was a talented man with all the shows he produced. I bet he is having fun where he is helping even more people in his own wonderful way. He isn't RIP, he is a BUSY man.

Love and ^I^ hugs, Jean Maurie

Well done Merv for being a catalyst in not just Lisa's life but in many people's lives giving them the opportunity to explore spiritual truths and enhance their lives. We all play our part no matter how great or small in being catalysts to allow the light of knowledge to come into people's lives. I believe that we are participating in humanity's spiritual renaissance by investigating after death communication and the afterlife. The curtain will be torn and death shall lose it's sting.
