Surprise!
Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 01:11AM We have some friends who have come to stay with us for the weekend, from Utah and other areas of California, and when they come it's party all weekend... not drink or anything like that, but so much fun and laughter.
We had promised to spoil our friends niece, as it is her 16th birthday soon and she loves coming to our house as we really are like a huge family when we all get together. So it started off with a hair cut and color and then shopping which was fantastic for her.
I knew that we were going to celebrate my birthday early this weekend but Kev had everything under control and had organised everything but wouldn't tell me anything.
We got back from shopping at 5pm and he had planned everything, what time I was going to have a bath and everything. I thought, how lovely, he is having one of his romantic moments... which of course I love.
I headed up stairs and he said, you go and get ready and I will get Charlie ready... Wait... Charlie? He's got Tanya coming round, we're going out for a meal? But nothing registered. Then I was in the bath and I could hear the music playing and voices... and when Kev came up stairs and told me I had anpther 15 minutes in the bath, I said to him... "It sounds like we are having a party downstairs!" He smiled and left and then everything went quiet.
Of course I got ready and I did think it was weird that we were going out at 8pm to eat as Kev is an early eater, and can't eat after 8....
Then I thought... oh he is planning a party with friends at a restaurant, like he did a few years ago... Little did I know that all our friends were gathering downstairs and Charlie was directing them in, telling them to be quiet.
Even as the phone rang, I thought, someone is trying to get in the gate and has forgotten the code, but then my sane mind thought, Hold on who would be coming to see me, everyone who is coming out to dinner knows the code...
More signs, Kev turned the TV on upstairs... He never turns the TV on in the bedroom, but he had done it to drown out the noise.
Now I am someone who has to look for signs every day in what I do, and all the signs were in front of me, but I just didn't see them... Duh!
So of course I wandered downstairs with my lipstick, I was just about to ask Kev to put it in his pocket so I didn't have to carry a bag tonight.... and I turned the corner into the kitchen and...
SURPRISE!!!
There were over 20 people standing there, all my closest friends had come to the house to celebrate my birthday early. What a lovely thing... I had been given all these little signs that some thing was happening but I didn't pick up on it.
I had a lovely evening with everyone and some amazing gifts, including a Tiffany necklace from Mike and Jonesy which I LOVE! And the funny thing was, that today we were both in Tiffany at the same time!!!
It's amazing how sometimes we get given information or we notice things but we don't really notice them, we find a logical explaination for it. Just like I did today. This is the same with spirit. We get given so much information or info on our life or other things and sometimes we just don't pick up on it. So when you do see them, take note you may find the answers you are looking for... or you may spoil your surprise party! ha ha ha
I can't believe I even looked today in the cupboard where they stored all the food... I didn't see it! Duh!
Have a happy day and I am going to bed a happy girl.
With love
Lisa xx

A very happy birthday to you, Lisa! Yes, even those of us who do readings for others miss things right in front of us... Which is why even though I believe ALL people have the gift of connecting with divine guidance to varying degrees, it's good to get a reading so someone objective can connect the dots we sometimes overlook!
Your mma Lisa sounds wonderful,
You are one very lucky lady to have such a carring and thoughtful man as he is lucky to have you as well.
Big hugs for your birthday
Love
Leeanne
You've got some clever boys on your hands... ^_- I am glad they were still able to surprise you, despite you being psychic! lol
I Love surprising people and best of all I Love putting a smile on there faces!
One of the best surprises I can remember was one year during my grandmother's birthday... I'm usually a more low-key "surpriser" lol... but anyhow, my grandma had been saying the whole time before her birthday that year that she didn't want to do anything for her birthday.. telling everyone not to waste money... telling everyone it's not a big deal and being forceful with it and all (my grandma's the "forceful" type lol)... so we all played it off like no one was going to make a big deal... after all... it's what she asked for... then as the day grew closer, she started getting upset that no one was doing anything for her birthday or telling her we were going to have any sort of get together for her... lol (oh fickle gramma...)
but we invited some of the people who she is close to (my great aunt and uncle from malibu who we don't get to see much because they are not well, and several others)... and my aunt drove my grandma over to our house saying she needed to get something before they went "shopping"... and my grandma walked in and I don't think I have Ever seen my grandma so surprised! It was so great because she got teary eyed too... and my grandma is one tough chick! It was so great...
So that was SO fun... we got her REALLY good... I don't get to see my grandma genuinely get that touched and teary-eyed often...
Sorry you prompted a ramble... lol =)
I am glad you had a wonderful day and a fantastic early birthday party! Kev and Charlie did a wonderful job with the surprise!
It's always the best to surprise those who are least likely to get surprised!
Sleep with angels and a smile on your face! =)
With Love,
Vy <3
Aaaawww chick I'm glad you had a good time. Would have loved to have been there! Bet it was an even better birthday with M&J there.
Miss you xxx
Happy Happy Birthday Lisa!! Sounds like you had a wonderful one! You're very lucky indeed to have such a wonderful, thoughtful and loving family. I LOVE reading your blogs as for me life is somewhat lonely at times. I have no children (ovarian cancer at a very young age) and my immediate family have all passed on. But reading your blogs certainly does out a smile on my face!! Thanks for sharing all that you do!!

Happy Birthday!
Lisa,
Hope you had a beautiful birthday with your family and friends! When all is said and done, the most beautiful "gift" one can have is the love and support from your family and friends. This was reconfirmed to me recently when I had knee replacement surgery and am now preparing for my second (thank goodness we only have 2 knees!"
love,
Deb
