Connecting to the Other Side
Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:33PM Well the hype has started and I have loads of friends in the UK now emailing me and asking what my plans are when I get to Birmingham on tour! Finally I will be back in my home town where I was born playing one of the largest theaters and I am SO excited, it's probably all you will hear about now! ha ha ha. But it's been wonderful and such a ride.
You know I love what I do. I had an interview for Peoria where I will be next week and I was so hyped up talking about my work I could have talked and talked constantly about in and told so many stories. But I suppose thats what my next book is about... ha ha ha
But it's true I love what I do. I see the comfort it gives and helps so many people move on with their lives knowing that their loved ones are still with them. Everyone wants a reading for a different reason. Some want to say goodbye, others want to know if they are doing the right thing, some want forgiveness. To me it doesn't matter what people want, people need a connection and I am so fortunate that I am able to give that to them.
Today was the same. My members are able to enter a competition monthly to win a reading with me, and today I read for the winner. She just simply needed to hear from a family member who was very dear and close to her heart. We laughed like old friends at what her loved one was saying, and I was even shocked at what was coming through, but to the member it was what she needed. She needed to know that her loved one hadn't changed and that she was still the same personality she loved whilst she was alive.
It was incredible. I loved every minute of it. Most people who come to my shows ask me "How do I get a reading with you?" Well my belief is, if you are meant to get one you will. However we can't forget the other talented and gifted mediums out there. There are so many people who have my gift, I just happened to be on TV.
You can also look for the signs that your loved ones are still around and watching over you. It could be that single red rose that grow in the middle of winter in your garden, or a penny on the ground, or a piece of music that you suddenly listen too or a butterfly or hummingbird that flies around you. Whatever your sign is, take note it will be there for you.
We all want a connection, I do too. I have readings and go to people... I long for the connection to my grandmother who was so special to me, who's birthday is in three days, and my grandfather who I used to sing with on rainy afternoon in the caravan. But I get the connections and I see the signs. I don't have direct communication with them, like I would do if I read for you. I have to notice the signs. I have to listen for those pieces of music, or see those signs that I see so I know it's my Nan. Its something that I have to do. I supposed I am just open a little more to what I am seeing.
So know that your loved ones are there and they really are out to help you.

I can imagine the joy you recieve from your work...how lovely! In reading the member's experiences today, I was so touched and happy for them! The new free reading is a really great idea, as it opens a door of excitement and we get to see in our own family here, in another way, beyond the show experiences, how amazing our connection to the other side can be.

I have a friend who lives near Birmingham and they tell me the weather's been so great recently! I hope you get there on the nicest days of the year!
You're right about readings, though. While I would love to have a reading with you, what I'd love to do is to just meet you - it feels like we're old friends who've never met! I'm waiting for the day yo return to San antonio so I can finally meet you!

How nice for you to be heading back to home turf to do a show - that's a full circle moment! :) You are very generous with your time - it seems you've only just got back from your Ozzie trip and now it won't be long before you'll be off again! Will Charlie and Kev be going with you again? I hope you get the opportunity to catch up with some old friends whilst there. It's funny when you return somewhere you used to live isn't it?! It's sort of like a part of you is still there and always will be. I recently took my 86 yo Dad and Uncle to visit their childhood suburb (Dad now lives in Queensland) in Willoughby (near where you did the Kerry Anne show). It was amazing hearing all the stories as we walked around and I couldn't believe they remembered the names of EVERY family who lived in the street! My Dad lived above the corner store (my Grandfather bought it during WW2, after winning the lottery), so they knew a lot of people, including a cute brunette in number 18, who became my mother! :)
Speaking of my mother, she passed away almost 2 years ago and I'm always looking for signs from her. I had a reading with a psychic in Sydney who was good, but ,you know, YOUR readings come across as being SO much more accurate and specificthan any other. I think that's what makes you stand out in the psychic medium crowd (as well as your lovely personality of course!). You are by far my pic of the bunch!

we are definitely blessed to have mediums like yourself. Great blogs too by the way. I really enjoy reading them. I would definitely like to be able to communicate with the spirits on that level. I have very strong intuition and get many signs. Always have. Who knows, maybe one day. Ok, keep well and you take care :)

When I walk each morning, there is certain place on my route that a bird circles and watches me. I believe it is a sign....The place on my route is the place that I usually start talking out loud to my loved ones. I am sure they are talking back to me in their own way. G'day Lisa, i really enjoyed reading your blog today, it has really touched me. Quite often i experience things or see things etc.. and i te3ll myself that there are definitely signs from family members that have passed that somehow they are trying to let me know something and now after reading this i do believe that it is them. You know you do doubt yourself at times but now i think i should allow myself the comfort that i believe the spirits are sending me. I hope this is making sense, sometimes my fingers work faster then my thoughts !!!!!! You are so right about the signs. I recently spoke to a friend who lost her husband years ago and she really doesn't want to hear anything about it so I didn't insist but this is a pity.

It is so wonderful that you get to go back home and do what you love there (and show off your talent!!). I have been to two of your live shows (in PA and NJ) and met you at the NJ show. My 11yr son was with me and was so excited to meet you! He loves you as much as I do! He was trying to play it cool and be the "little man" and was being stingy with the hugs....so you gave him an extra hug!! LOL After we left he kept saying how nice you were and he couldn't believe that he really met you!
You are as beautiful and as gracious in person as you are here and on TV. Thanks for sharing your special gift with the world! You are a totally awesome woman!!! : )

You are blessed to love what you do...I hope that never changes for you! You help so many in so many ways!! It's sad that you can't get your connection the same way as you receive it for others...however, great advice, especially since even you must look for signs too! I love getting signs...and there's always something special about that penny, or feather, etc...you can tell when you receive them that they aren't just random...there is meaning behind them....and a gift!! All I have to say is 'Woohoo'! I am so very happy for you and all the success is well-deserved. I have to tell you that I knew this would happen but had no idea when. After I saw your show in NYC back in Dec. and met you for a 3rd time face-to-face, I had a vision a couple of weeks later and it was literally making me dizzy. It was a spinning globe and it had to do with you. So it is so nice to see it happening... rock on girl! Your light is needed around the world... but be careful not to burn yourself out while giving so much to others.

I am so excited for you that you are able to come back home to Birmingham to do a show especially in the Symphony Hall it is lovely place,and yes we are supposed to be having some lovely weather this summer so it would be nice if Charlie + Kev are coming with you to do some sightseeing my children love Warwick Castle,West Midlands Safari Park even now and they are 12 + 15 but they love shopping in Birmingham Bullring (as they get more exspensive as they get older!!).It is brilliant you bring so much joy to yourself and for others in what you do.As i said the other day i cant wait for you to come to the uk,so this morning at 10.00 as soon as the ticket office was open i booked my tickets and i was really pleased i got front row right in the centre,WOW WEE!!!! it made my day.

Hi Lisa, It's me TERRY the girl you met in DELAWARE AND THEN AGAIN IN EASTON PA. I have so many things I have to share and a FEW QUESTIONS. In the photograph that David took of the to of us together IS IT P;OSSIBLE to have two IiMAGES of animal spirts come thru as images and not ORBS? Also, can you ask your love one for a sign? Lisa I put my thoughts and energy asking to find a feather if what I was seeing in the picture was I supossed to be sensing her presence . I looked when I got out of my car not to find one, When I came back outside David was sitting under the pine tree not to far from where she is buried, there was a weathered feather poiking from the needles on the ground, when I walked it inside I said maybe I'll find a feather from the bed pillow on the floor AND here was, thirty min. later we were in the car I left something in te entry way a short walk and not a wide path I ooked for another one my way , When I turned to come outside I was almost mad at my self because I said would it be too greedy to find ONE More, there when I opend the door was ANOTHER as white as snow. My dear Client said I callled the universe into being and it did. Lisa my clients were so touched by me being able to share my experiences witnessing your healing gifts now sharing the picture and my gift of feathers, they are completly touched and intrigued. I hope you see this note I am going to put another post in the Latte or Misc. hoping for some feedback. You mentioned you were coming for your B-day to the East Coast I mentioned to David I thought you and he might share the same B-DAY that night as I continued your book it was reveled that you do June 19th. COINCENDENTLY HIS NAME IS DAVID ASHWORTH THE SAME AUTHOR AS the book you needed when you were having that off day, funny his dad was a writer and David has always been my center when I so often need grounding. FIANALLY, for now I took my first step in over ten years as I shared with you intimately in DELAWARE by leaving my comfort zone and coming to Easton the synergy of all that lining up I have a bigger step I'm taking in July and I'm working on an AFFIRMATIION INSPIRED FROM YOU BOOK.....I'M MOVING FORWARD..
