Changing the energy and moving on!
Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:29PM Well I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and if you had a long weekend... I hope it was fun and relaxing.
For me we created new energy in our house especially with Charlie's room. What looked like a bomb had dropped in there (the curse of a 9 year old) finally after 8 hours of hard work, being ruthless, laughter, playing, 3 huge bags of rubbish, 1 for recycling and a box for Ebay/Charity we finally did it. Phew!
Charlie and I, used to do this often, sort out his room. He loves it. He gets to discover old toys and he loves giving his old toys away to those who need them more. But this was so much more. My boy is a hoarder... yes I wonder where he gets that from... but anyway... we discovered just about everything which included empty kitchen rolls that he had saved for a rainy day.
But we also changed his room around. Finally the energy flows so much better. Of course when I mentioned this he wanted his bed in the middle of the room, so that he could have two separate play areas and in his world enemies could fight on the bed, and hide from each other either side... but when I showed him he actually said to me, "mommy it doesn't feel right. I don't think the energy is right" Whoa... where did that come from.
So we decided to move the bed, so he has a lovely view from the window and lots of space to play in... and instead of over 8 over flowing boxes, we finally have 4 stacked in the corner neatly and draws filled with lego, lego and more lego!
He woke up this morning and told me he had the best nights sleep and I believe it. The energy flows so much more. He even placed crystals around the room. We spritzed my new cleansing spray around the room... and whoohoo we have a new vibe!
It's amazing when we move things around you find that when something looks different, it feels different. Things become stagnant. Change is good. It makes you more aware. But most importantly when you allow the change, it also opens so many more doors for you, and you find that you can be more creative and open.
We can create so much and sometimes we don't know how to start, or even where to start... always start by looking at you and what is around you. Clear out the clutter, negative energy and then create... create an environment that you want to be in. This also can apply to relationships as well... Sometimes you can't force relationships as I have learnt (and I learnt the hard way) you have to allow things to flow on their own.
You can't make something work if it's not meant to be, and it can't be one sided either. It was a hard lesson for me to learn and so I now sit back and allow them to flow, and Charlie taught me that too. Amazing what lessons kids can teach you :)
So for those of you in the UK who keep asking when am I returning home to tour... the dates are finally up. I will be back in September. I only have 5 dates, and I am so sorry there is no London but I am sure I will be back at some point.
The tickets will be on sale at the end of the week... with a presale if you are a member. I will of course tweet and Facebook this too... so watch this space. I tried to come back to my home town of Redditch, but the palace theater wouldn't have me... however, the Birmingham Symphony Hall will (very happy about that!)
And we are also talking about Australia, New Zealand and Norway too... :)
I hope you have a happy day filled with fun!
With love
Lisa xx

Hi Lisa,'

Hi Lisa,
It is positive to make change when we find that the old way just isn't working! I mean, maybe the basic concepts we hold can remain as a base, but some of the sharp edges might need to be filed of to make a smoother edge! My dream is to learn how to deliver my point in a highly articulate manner that gets the point across, but does not offend. I may never attain that goal, but at least I can work on a worthwile project in my effort to change. Meanwhile, my metamorphosis is ongoing, (for the better, I hope!) and perhaps by the age of 100) I may get there! I figure the attainment of knowledge is always good, no matter the age, because I believe it is cumulative from one existence to the next; so, for me, school is NEVER out!
You are terrific!
Love,
Cheryl
Hi Lisa,
I'm glad your homes energy is better now. Especially your Charlie's room. Looks like he might be taking after his mum :) Would you believe I also had the best nights sleep in ages last night also. Best wishes for you, take care Lisa. Marcel :)
Hi Lisa:) De-cluttering is always such a great feeling, something I seriously need to do but somehow never get around to. The few times that I have done it tho I always felt so much beter afterwards. I would LOVE to rearrange my bedroom but unfortunately have nobody to help me with the heavy stuff (dare my parnter ever lift a hand to help me with anything, not him, ohhhhhh nooooooo)
"Someday" I hope to be clutter free and organized...hmm, maybe in my next life, lol
Looking forward to seeing you in ILL....counting down the days now:)
Ohhhhhhhhh and I see JOHN HOLLAND will be in ILL at the same time you are, now wouldn't that be great if he took some time to attend your shows and made a "surprise guest" appearance, hehehee
I love to hear that you are planing to come to Norway, this will be a dream come true:-)
A big Welcome.
All the best, Tone :-)
Yay - Norway!! :D
Hello Lisa,
It's great to have a change every now and then isn't it. I sometimes help the kids to change their room around and clean up (boy! can kids be messy or what?!!!), but JUST DON'T LOOK IN THE CUPBOARD! lol, I'm sure one day it will all come toppling down on me! (another job to get done one day!)
When things in the home are messy and cluttered it really does affect our mood and energy. Likewise with things in our life - feeling angry, sad or just that things are not right is a sign that something needs to change. Quite often, the greatest hurdles end up bringing about the best changes. Sometimes we don't realise this until we look back on the experience, but it's so true.
Glad you are planning your return to Australia. Just a request - can you PLEEEEEEEEEASE add more shows this time, so that more of us can get tickets (I missed out last time). :) And like Racca said, a workshop or two would be amazing!
Glad you are back blogging,
Deb R :D
P.S. Where do you get your crystals from? My father is a gemologist and therefore has heaps of them (so I'm lucky), but I can't believe how expensive they are to buy in the shops!
When you coming to South Africa,I will be the first in line you have made my life so much better since my 2 Darling Daughters Passed over . Hope to hear from you soon . Love Sue from South Africa
What a great idea for you to come to Norway! Please hold that thougth and make it come true!! Love Anita from Norway
Thanks for this post, Lisa. I was laid off from my job in February, and I am still looking for another one. Your paragraph about change and clearing out and getting rid of negativity all hit home with me. I know I must close that door and move on. I know another door will open for me. But sometimes I get down on myself and forget all that. Thanks for the reminders.
