Be prepared for the change!
Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 11:28PM I'm really getting my teeth in to the planning for the weekend and once I start I can't stop, I know it's going to be like that when I carry on with my book, I get like that... in the Zone!
Anyway I just wanted to let you know that sadly, we have had to cancel The Grove of Anaheim show. It had already been moved once before, and then we had a conflict with a filming schedule which is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the best producers in the UK, for a TV series, so I decided that it was just not working. Every time we rescheduled it, it clashed with something else.
I have this motto... if something is too hard, and it's not fitting you have to move on, as it just wasn't meant to be. and it just seemed that there was always something that was getting in the way.
Sometimes you have to just move on and put it down to experience.
Well today was our day of the 'ladies who lunch'. A bunch of us, who are all spiritual and amazing souls get together, and we chat about life, spirituality and try to support each other with what is happening in the world. And it was lovely. Somehow we all connected and it was through shooting the TV show at the haunted hotel. I met Monica, who was and still is crazy enough to live there, and she introduced me to Dolly who in turn introduced us to Melanie and Hope.
Together we are forming an friendship that is solid and we realized that the table represented, the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's years of age... and even though the ages range that we are all equal and that we can all learn from each other. It doesn't matter how old you are you can still continue to learn and something that someone says to you, can have such and impact on your life, no matter what age you are.
It was just a fantastic lunch, of chat!
So I suppose here, what I am trying to say, is always be ready to learn and change... and with that comes growth. It may be a child or a wise older person who gives you information or advice but it you can take it and it helps you, never turn it away. If you do, your ego is getting the better of you, and maybe you don't want to listen because of who it's coming from, or the fact that you can't hear it, because it's the truth!
Interesting thoughts!
Have a wonderful day!
Lisa xx
PS. Happy Birthday to my brother!

Hii Lisa,
What a great lunch with such kindred spirits!! I think it sounds like a fabulous time!! It is so lovely to have friends you can just click with and share ideas. (and maybe a little wine on the side...?) Good, good, good!!
I think you are wise to cancel when it seems like "something" is trying to tell you "NO!"You of all people know when to pay attention to that little voice!!
Bless your sweet little heart.
Take good care!!
Love Ya!
Cheryl

I so agree with you, my sentiments entirely on your motto if something is just not running right, and also on learning from every age group, every person you meet. It's such a boost to read your blog.
Love, Peace and Light,
Lana
good point.. thank you
{{{hugs}}}
Hi my love, Somehow everything I wrote was erased before I could send it off. So this will be short as I have to get off to work. Your blog was wondeful as always. No matter how old we are there is always something new to learn. I am sorry to hear that you had to cancel the one show, but sometimes when something gets in the way we have to go with the flow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Chris.
My love always,
Mary
Lisa, I love your Ladies Who Lunch and it gives me an idea... or as Americans say in certain regions of this fair land... I got an ideer........ what if all of us manifested our own Ladies Who Lunch type of group, and in this manifestation had participants from each decade of life? Even a 10 year old would benefit from an occasional lunch with other witchy woos ranging up the decades into the 90's. Imagine! This is a part of our society that has not evolved well. We women are isolated here. There isn't the maiden-mother-crone support system that other cultures have.
The Red Hat ladies are headed there, but not quite..... they tend to be 50 and older ( haven't seen Red Hats that are young, not too many)
Lisa...... ok. I'm going to work on this one..... manifesting.....going to put it in something I'm writing....
Hi Lisa,
Tell us more about any future TV plans if you can, the UK TV link sounds intriguing. I prefer the one to one readings TV shows myself. Giving proof of survival in such a direct and personal context brings it home to people that the afterlife is real and that there is another dimension to our being. Hauntings shows are more popular I know but the deeper spiritual message usually gets lost in the drama of it all. Whatever you do it should be great. Good luck!
Regards,
PSVC2
Hi there Lisa,
Great advice! You manage to find an amazing message in everything you do! What a great cross-section of ages and experience you have in your Ladies Lunching group. Just imagine the amount of knowledge and spirituality you can all share with each other...........hmmm, now there's a TV show!
I love the Oprah show for the same reason. It is very much a show for women (& men if they want) and it gives a strong sense of female comraderie and belonging.
Also, one of my sisters who lives in outback Australia holds a "Goddess Night" each month, where her lady friends gather in a "sacred circle" and discuss and learn things about drawing positive vibes into their life (eg. the Gratitude concept). They also do mandala drawings while talking and sharing ideas. I would love to do something like that, but my sister lives too far away for me to join the circle. I'd love to organise one with like-minded people in my own area (but finding it a little difficult as most of my friends are sceptics and not into this sort of thing). In the meantime, I am grateful that I can at least read your amazing blog and the supportive comments by many others, who like me, are strong believers in your incredible connection with the spirit world.
Thank you for being our "ray of light" in a world full of sceptics!

thanks Lisa, another hits home,,,haha sure your're not just writing to me??? I did say my affirmations this morning in the mirror. A little easier this morn. Think i'll get the hang of it. Thanks for the blogs and this amazing site...!!! love mary margaret
Hi Lisa, gee I would of given anything to be at that "Ladies Lunch" with all of you. I would of fit right in with the 50's and even if I didn't say a word, just listening to you all would of been worth it, how cool!!!
Love & Hugs, Judi :)
Very True, Lisa!!! I'm glad you had a great time with all the gals!!! And the filming sounds like a great adventure for you!!! Happy Birthday to your brother, I know another person born on the 12th of May too!!! Much Love to you and everyone <3 <3 <3
I just had breakfast with two of my sisters; I lunch a lot with friends....love the idea....
peace...deb t/illinois
First, I agree with the concept of trying too hard to make something work out, I have seen that a lot in my life, and years down the road I have been able to see the wisdom in each thing.
Second though, there were 6 of us from work that had tickets to your show at the grove, and we are all seriously bummed. One of the ladies daughters was recently murdered here in San Diego, 21 year old Marcella Peraza, such a horrific thing. Such a waste of life. It's been rough and the show seemed like it would be a very healing experience, just to be in the room with you and all the incredible people that attend your shows. For all we know though, maybe there was some reason we were not supposed to go, and we were the catalyst for the show being cancelled. You never know do you? There are roads I have traveled down before that I was unsure why I was on them, but they ended up bringing me to where I needed to be.
Love to you & good luck on your show.
Lisa, I made the comment to you that I hoped I didn't embarrass myself....didn't know if I'm ready for this workshop....but I heard you on Colette's radio and know that there will be something in it for me. I just feel the need to embrace opportunities to learn and recognize what a blessing it is to have such an opportunity to learn from you.
I am so lucky ~~~~~
Hugs, Tempe♥
What a lovely lunch it sounds like you had!
It's funny that you commented on learning from others just today... I had a meeting a few hours ago where my work was going to be reviewed, and I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I thought on the way there about how I needed to get past my resistance and take whatever came in good spirits, and it turned out to be great - I learned a lot that was incredibly useful and informative, and I walked away so encouraged and motivated to continue!
l have a wonderful group of lady friends that l do my spiritual circle with and my God, we have a laugh. Not only are we from the ages of early 30's til 60's but we are from all different parts of the world. Two from England, onefrom lreland, two from South Africa, one Greek, one ltalian and l am from Scottish and lrish blood and we all live in Melbourne Australia. l love it and l learn so much from every single one of them. It is a wise person who listens to all and judges none. Have a great day everyone. Hugs and Kisses Rachael
