Every day is Mothers Day!
Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11:40PM I have to say I have the most amazing team around me. I got to the new office yesterday and everything was put away and set up... all I had to do was set up the computers and network everything which I (thought) I could do with my eyes shut!
Trish and jessica had all the merch put away, Caroline and Jonesy had everything in a organized fashion so it was perfect! I walked in yesterday and it was great and today I spent the day there, with Kev and Charlie and we had a great time, and I was just finishing off the office so that we can start a fresh on Monday morning. I just have to network all the computers tomorrow! Yes I am working on Mothers Day
Mothers Day isn't a big day for me, as every day is a special day. I personally don't need one day in the year to know that I am loved by Charlie and Kev. I know that daily. In fact, Charlie said to me yesterday, "Mommy you are the best mommy I have ever had!" My repsonse was... that is so lovely but I am the only mommy you have ever had!! ha ha ha bless him. He then said, well you are the best person in my life and I love you so much!
Well that was it... I cried! He was so excited to give me his mothers day card and present and if Jonesy hadn't taken it off him and hidden it, I would have had it on Friday! Even today he wanted to give it to me and although Mike and Jonesy are spending their first night in their own apartment, he is not allowed to go in to their room as there is still some of their belongings in there... but I know he was chomping at the bit to get in and get my pressie!
So to me, every day is special and I know it's an important to day to acknowledge being a mom, but I am a mom everyday so why should one day be so special, it's when I hear the words "I love you" from Charlie, to me thats mothers day and it happens every single day!
Thats just my take on it and I am so blessed to have Charlie in my life... I'm complete in so many ways with him.
Happy Mothers Day to all of you and have a wonderful day, I am heading to the Bodhi Tree in LA for my booksigning tomorrow!!! I can't wait... if you are coming I will see you at 3pm!

You have a beautiful son ,that is just beautiful. My kids amaze me everyday with the things that they say and the way in which they see the world. Mothers day for me is just a way of getting out of cooking.Have a great day,hugs and kissesRachael
We are having our mothers day in Australia ( different from the UK one) nice to know its the same day in America. Have a lovelly day with your family and glad you are settled into a new office. Am waiting tfor the DVD's to be here on 27th seems ages!

I learn more and more as life goes on. It is quite an emotional ride!!
You have a wonderful, loving son in Charlie! You both had some difficult times, and understand how important you are to each other. So beautiful!!
Bless you and your new office. Maybe a little smudging to make the place fresh and new might be nice. I don't know....it's something I like to do at new places.

Yes,mothers day should be every day but for some os us-well you know how it can be! I for one have two beautiful daughters that I love so much! And being a grandmother makes it all the more special! I am in complete agreement about not needing a mandated holiday to be appreciated as a mother. To be frank, I dislike the concept of having designated days to celebrate people, as if people aren't capable of expressing themselves every other day of the year. So many of the U.S. holidays are commercial enterprises for the gift, flower, and candy businesses, too which diminishes the true purpose of such holidays, in my view. At any rate, your son Charlie is a jewel, and he is lucky to have a fine mother and step-father. All the best to you and your family.
I totally agree with you... i feel mothers day is more for commerical reasons anyway LOL.. but these past 3 weeks when i was in oahu with my boys.. my gosh, no dinner or trinket today could make up for it.. i mean yeah, it is nice to get those things.. but if they never happend, it wouldnt be a big deal to me because when my son Richard thanked me for "making me the man, father, husband and soldier I am today" that was more than i could have ever expected.... When my son Ryan told me that he loved me more than anyone because i have always stood by him..... that was more than i could have ever expected.... so yeah.. moms day is nice.. but when you hear things like that from your children becuase that is truly the way they feel.......... everyday is moms day.

I am so with you on holidays in general. I find the whole thing a bit commercial. It is true that every day is mothers day. I feel the same way about birthdays. Every day is a celebration of life with new opportunities and challenges. Each day is unique like a snowflake and is special. We should do what we feel from our hearts and not what society dictates as a holiday. As you so eloquently put it, you know that Kev and Charlie love you every day. You don't need a holiday to remind you of this. Charlie is a sweetheart... those words must have just melted your heart.
So I am going with the flow and celebrating with Mom on her special day and am also thankful to Mother Nature who taught me all the miracles in life.

OMGosh...when I read what Sir Charlie said to you-- I cried as well. God bless him as those words and his feelings would have knocked me over. He is so smart and has learned so much from you Lisa. It is so nice to see Kev being a dad that more young ones should have. And you for a Mom well that is the bow on the package. ;-) I'm very happy for the family you have & always growing together. Hi Lisa, Happy Mother's Day. Hope you have a wonderful day. Yes everyday is special, my little boy makes me feel wonderful everyday, he's very loving and tells me constantly that he loves me and gives the best hugs!! And he's only 2.5years old.
You are lucky to be surrounded by a great team that help you, but you do so much for everyone else aswell so you deserve it. Enjoy the new office.
