We are just part of the Universe!

What an incredible day. We woke up to and headed straight to Uluru, which is the rock. Just an amazing sight and we we were so fortunate to have a guide that is aboriginal and has grown up in these parts for years and knows so many stories about the rock it's self and we were able to go a little beyond the trail that you would normally take.  Kev, the budding photographer, took so many amazing photos that I will share with you once I am in Melbourne.

I have to say I gave in and got internet connection. I thought I was paying for the time that I would be using whilst I was here, but no... I am not. I paid my money and every time you log off and want to log on again you have to pay... again!!! So I am a little miffed at that.

After walking around parts of the rock we headed back to the hotel and then I tried to write some more of my book but I was not inspired at all. I am writing through experiences of all my readings and also through a spirit guide who is walking us through the process of what happens when we die, so I think it's going to be very interesting. I am part the way through it, there is so much to go into, so I have no idea when it's going to be out but I am hoping to be finished by the summer.

Tonight I had the most amazing experience of my life!! We headed out on the 'Sounds of Silence' Trip where we are taken to a viewing point to watch the sunset over the Olga's and also Uluru and then we head off to a 5 course meal in the wilderness. What... a... night!!!

The Sunset was amazing!!! I have never seen a sunset like it. I live not far from the ocean so I see amazing sunsets but this beats it. And then we were lead by small lights in the ground to a dining room style set up and we were served food such as crocodile and kangaroo. Then the lights went out over the serving station and all the candles were blown out and that was it... we were left looking up at the whole universe!

Oh My Life!!! What a sight! We could see the milky way (not the chocolate bar!!) but the real milky way! The solar system was explained to us, and so were the stars and planets and we were able to see things up close through a telescope. I actually saw the rings around Saturn! OMG it was amazing!!!

Words cannot describe the beauty that you can see when you are out in the middle of no where and all the light is gone and you are left with the nights sky. It's only then that you realize that we are a single planet in the universe and how vast the universe really is.  I was in awe of this. I wish we could have taken pictures to show you but sadly the camera didn't pick anything up.  It was just a beauty and an experience that I will never ever forget

Somethings you cannot quantify in life you have to accept and appreciate in life. You cannot capture with a camera or video, you just have to hold on to the memories, hold on to the times that you remember... and this for me is a time I will never forget! Incredible!

I'll be back soon. We are having a lazy day I am having a treatment at the spa and so is Kev, so it's going to be relaxing before we hit Melbourne!

Lots of love

Lisa xx

WOW!! What an amazing time you are having!
Years ago, I camped in the Arizona desert and I was able to view the milky way and the night sky in all of it's glory, without the light pollution that keeps most of us from seeing this magnificent sight. And I'll never forget how in awe I was. It's something that you never forget.
I love reading about your trip :) ~PJ

What an amazing experience you're having! We live in a rural area, so we can see the sky more than most people at night... and I have great memories from sparkly winter nights in the mountains in Norway, where the combination of stars and glittering snow can blow you away...

I hear what you're saying about cameras - I'm a hobby photographer, but sometimes I purposefully leave my camera at home to just *experience* - take it all in with my own senses and create memories in my head instead of on the computer.

That just sounds so Amazing... to be left to appreciate the grandeur and beauty of the universe "out there", while civilization around you is "shut off", even if just temporarily...

A lazy day would definitely be good, as I always find that vacationing become exhausting and I always need a vacation from my vacation to recoup.

I hope your trip continues to be amazing! and see you soon! <3

Thank you for sharing with us Lisa, I feel that I am seeing all these amazing experiences just by the way of your description! I cannot wait to see the photos to get a sense of your travels, but it is so good to know that you are enjoying it and having quality time with your wonderful family, there is no better way to see a country and share the excitement of it than with your own people. I am also looking forward to your book, there are so many of us who want to know 'what it is like' to die, and I for one, thank you for taking the time to think about all of us and to do this great justice for us- You are amazing! Enjoy the rest of your trip....and please come to Kenya, you will love it here, so will charlie and kev.... you have a lot more fans here awaiting you than you think! Take care, Kisses and hugs, Sedie xoxoxox

Hi Lisa,

Wow what an experience to have in the middle of our beautiful country Australia. My parents have been on the same dinner and too & said it is such a wonderful experience, sure is something you'll hold onto forever. Your new book sounds like it will be so interesting what such an interesting topic to write a book about. (I have always been so fascinated in what does happen when we die).

I was telling my 92 year old grandmother (god bless her) that I will be seeing you at Sydney & she was so excited, she would have loved to come with me but she is loosing her hearing and would find it hard to listen. She's can't wait to hear the feedback from your show. She too has had alot of spirits visit her over the past 20 years and continues to have visit from saints and family members who have passed on. She enjoys watching your shows thoroughly because she relates so well to what you experience. You've said that you are going to record the audio from the shows here in Sydney, is this for your TV show or will it be for the people coming to the show to purhase?
Safe traveling... and I am still couting :)

Hi Lisa & Commentors,
I know exactly what you mean about the Sounds of Silence dinner as we did it last September - wow! it sure is amazing when those lamps go out and everyone looks up. Did you have the Dutch astronomer with the accent? He was quite funny! What did Charlie think of it? If anyone wants to see some pics of the Sounds of Silence experience - go to WWW.AYRESROCKRESORT.COM.AU and click on "TOURS".
As for the internet costs - I'm not surprised, as I noticed that EVERYTHING was expensive at Ayres Rock! It cost us over A$400 for 5 adults & 6 kids just to get a 10 min bus/coach trip to Uluru from the resort!!!!!!
Looking fwd to the book on what happens when we die, however I still can't find a copy of your first book! It's driving me mad! I am just busting to read it! If anyone knows where I can get one in Sydney, please let me know, much appreciated.
Enjoy your remaining time at Ayres Rock Lisa, look fwd to the photos.

Hi Lisa,
Wow! You are having the most amazing time!! This is a trip most people only dream about! You are really promoting Australia! Hmmm, could this be used on the Travel channel? (did you have this all filmed?) I'd watch a show of your travels! You really should incorpoate your travels for your shows in with travel segments for the Travel Channel. Just a thought! (you could kill two birds with one stone!)
Anyway, have a terrific time, sounds like you are doing a good job of that already!!
Love,
Cheryl

Hey Lovely Lisa,
How amazing your time was and the universe is mind boggling for sure, especially when you see how Small...planet Earth really is. Let's you think for sure. That is why I always look up at the sky at at night and every chance I get. A huge Reminder of the Creator and Nature. Thank you so much for walking us through that. How lucky you all were to get a real Aboriginal. Wow!!! I bet he was fascinating. I know he was. ;-)
Well, now you and Kev should be nice and relaxed. I am So happy for you Lisa.
Have a super day. God Bless and big hugs to you and all.
Kindly,
XXX

Magical. So happy you and the fam are enjoying.

On T.V. today the astronauts on the space station said that Earth is below them and it looks small. Then as they gaze up they can see vastness. There are too many stars to count.

Its the BIG you describe!

Now I really appreciate how our souls are much larger than our bodies, the interconnectivity of us to each otherl and the power behind the Universe.

Much Love,

Andrew

Lisa...what a journey you guys are having! I can't wait to see Kev's photos! I have a nickname that i've given to the photos that we see and experience, but can't capture...I call them "mental photos." As a photographer & artist it is hard for me to not capture such things tangibly...but i've learned that it is really all about the experience...the fact that we can see and experience the imagery is a gift. Good luck being inspired to write. It sounds like your experiences are quite conducive to creativity...so hold on and the flow will come. Peace, love, and smiles, Merry
