Forward thinking!

It's been a great day, first we lost Lucy... she escaped and did her famous houdini act, but fortunately all was fine when Charlie discovered her in one of his friends gardens... She is such a little escape artist!

Anyway, Jonesy and I did some girlie shopping. I have lost weight so all my old clothes are not fitting and I can finally get to back to some of the shops I used to shop it. It is such a great feeling and so Jonesy and I shopped until we dropped and now, we have cleared out my wardrobe of all the old clothes that no longer fit.

It's great to do that, as you are letting go of the past. If you hold on to things, you will always remember that and you can start heading back that way. I used to hold on to the larger clothes knowing that my weight fluctuated and slowly but surely I ended up fitting into them again. So now I have a pact with myself, throw away all the old clothes that don't fit (especially the larger ones) and you will never get in to them again.

Now I do have a pair of size 8 Jeans hanging up, hoping that the psychology will work the other way... I'm getting there!

I spoke to a friend of ours last night about just this, he has had a bad run of things recently and has struggled, and I told him to move on and get rid of all the things that remind him of that time and make changes. He said that he sits in the house and he doesn't feel at home... so I told him to go out and make it his. change the colors of the walls, change the simple things that are easy to do, but they put your stamp on things, and he didn't think it was that easy.

But it's as easy as you make it. Don't look back, look ahead and start focusing on what you want. Make the changes, and stay positive... but most of all smile. Move forward and enjoy it and know that you will look back and be so proud of yourself!!!

Have a fun day, I have 3 men in the house who may be nursing a sore head in the morning, so Jonesy and I are thinking ahead and preparing for the hangovers!!!

With love

Lisa xx

I have smaller clothes sitting in my wardrobe and don't ever seem to work towards fitting in them!!!

It is sooo true what you said about it is as easy as we make them to be. One have to stake out one owns new path. The first steps can be very difficult, but step comes a bit easier and suddenly you're skipping along step 5, 6,7,8 :)

Good luck with the men when they wake up ;)

Very fitting blog! Just cleared out old junk and got some sold at a fleemarket this weekend. I have packed all my larger clothes, donated some and tried to sell some and few are still left in the attic. I had a reading and was told I have a year of change and I always see the positive side of things (eventhough it might cost a bit) but it has already started and I look forward to what's behind the next door. Love the statement about your Lucy. I have a cockatoo that escapes from just about any lock. She opens them like there's nothing to it. I don't know how she can figure certain things but she does and out she flies. I can only love and admire her little brain. Love and light! Linda

I soooooooooo need to de-clutter my closets too (am a rummage sale and thrift store junkie)...have soooooooo many clothes that I could open my own clothing store! Just need the energy to actually clean things out and have been meaning to do that for the past few yrs and just never get at it.
Have yourself a lovely and fun filled day, Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Good positive thinking! Out with the old baggage! Get a fresh start and a new out look!
Do what feels best for you! You have such a great attitude and inspire so many to achieve more than what they thought was possible. I am sure you will reach any goal you set for yourself.
A little "hair of the dog" should help the hangovers! (bloody Marys all around!) When I used to drink more than I do now, I found that before I went out that if I took an asprin, a couple of vitamins (esp.vit.B complex) and drank water along with any bevvy, I never got a hangover!
Glad you had fun shopping! One can never shop too much! (even if just looking w/o buying!) Take care and have a good tour!

Love and hugs,
Cheryl

Great psychology, about throwing out the old and clearing it out of your space. I need to engage in such thinking! Glad to hear you're making progress towards your goal of losing weight. Setting goals is essential in this life, and makes one look conscientious and integrally serious. Tell the guys to drink plenty of water to help their sore heads.

You are so right!!! Cleansing out old stuff is like cleaning your soul.
I have been thinking about doing the same for a very long time. Have I done it yet? No....
Will do though. I know. For sure. :-)
Take care

The people who do "Clean Sweep" on TV say that if you don't get rid of the old, there is no room for new to come into your life.....I think it is very true. When my Mom died, I was her "bookkeeper." I paid her medical bills and juggled things to appease the bill collectors; there was never enough to go around. Anyway, it took my a full 5 years before I was comfortable tossing it all. I had 5 garbage bags of papers that my husband burned for me. It was liberating! So....out with the old; in with the new! You go, girl! Sending you love and peace....deb t/illinois......love u

Hi lisa,

I know I have messaged you for a while saying how excited I would be if you came here. Well the timing is sooooooooooo bad and i'm devastated, only due to my life taking a great turn. I AM GETTING MARRIED! You will be here during the time where we are budgeting not only money but our time. So I will have to miss out.
I hope you enjoy Australia, it is a beautiful country with so many wonderful sites to see and I hope I get to meet you one day.

Much love Duanette

YYAAAYYY Lisa,
So happy for you girl... I buy these clothes that are smaller and still have the tags on them.....then I hang them in my house (unfortunately in the back room where I cant see them..lol) however I am on a mission. I have hung a pair of jeans up near my kitchen....so when I go to grab that junk food, instead I am taking a yogurt. UGH.
Determinded this time to look the way I feel come summer.
The good ole days of hangovers. Gosh I sure dont miss them...lol. Lots of water is probably a good thing. Seeing as how alcohol causes dehydration. Ewww just the thought of a hangover makes me never wanna drink again....lol so you and Jonsey have fun nursing that with the men today. Poor guys.
Okay, have a super great day girl....glad that Charlie found lucy....Whewwww.
Hugs

Heck i just keep stuffin myself into those small clothes... i may wear longer shirts so i can leave the pants unzipped but my thighs will look great becuase they are all "squished" into them.

i bought a fishnet "body stocking" (we wont say why i bought this) and i put it on. Well what started out as fish net quickly became more like chain link as the holes stretched and pulled far beyond thier capacity.

Now, picture the pillsbury dough boy.... you know that cute and cuddly little doughy kid... stuff him into a fishnet stocking, pull it up over his head and twist the stocking really really tight.

See how the dough begins to poke out of the holes? The more you twist, the more that pokes out till eventually you cant see the netting, it just looks like a big, gooey ball of ......goo? That's me! :-)

Quite attractive... needless to say, they are still in the drawer, tuked back inside the original package LOLOLOL...

What a great morning you gave me! Thanks!!

Excellent advice, Lisa.....And, as for Lucy. I thinik she scurries away to the bushes because she's checking her email and looking for friends for Facebook!

(To explain the above, my neighbor doesn't get any exercise when he walks his dog because the dog keeps stopping at every bush to "check his email.")

Hi my Love,
Congrats on your weight loss! It feels great doesn't it to go shopping for new clothes! Up to this point I have lost 20 lbs since Nov. but I don't see or feel it. Even though my scales say it! lol... oh well... I should be grateful that I am finally losing!

Well, you and Jonesy have fun nursing the boys back to normalacy. I don't drink but I can just imagine what a hangover feels like-lol-and no thank you!!

Love to all and that Lucy is something else. You had better be careful, she might show Max her secrets on getting out and having some fun!!
Its good that Charlie was able to find her! Keep up the good work Charlie!!

My love to you my sweets and to all those under your care.

Love ya lots and always,
Mary

Ohh Lisa.... shopping heheee I have forgotten what that feels like it has been so long. Congratulations on the weight loss and getting into the smaller sizes. I have an idea! Why not sell your better old clothes on ebay or even on this site and donate the money to charity. I know it may sound freakish but I am sure that your fans would love to own the clothes that you wear on stage... Too much... ahhh well just a thought LOL

Have a great day xxxx HUGS

I hope you donated those clothes and didn't trash them...I never buy new clothes, always shop thrift shops :-)

Hey Lisa,
First I just want to say that I am soooooooo happy for you! Congratulations...whoohoo! It must be such a good feeling to be able to go back to where you used to shop. Goodness, women go through hell trying to keep their girlie figure. So I say to you Lisa, to strut your stuff and be proud girl. Getting rid of the old stuff... excellent idea!

Now this is too freaky... yesterday you mentioned the dogs and I was thinking about Lucy escaping for some odd reason. I remembered your old blog and it came to me quite vividly. I was almost going to ask you if Lucy was more settled since the puppy Max is there now but I got side-tracked. These last two months have been all about thinking of something and than it happens... this used to happen occasionally but now it is happening regularly. I sometimes freak Karen out too. What's up with that? On the hand, if I tried to predict something or tried to prevent something, I couldn't. That rots!!!

Oh no hangovers!! Been there, done that and wore the t-shirt. Not a pleasant feeling at all! Hopefully, they will get over it quickly. That is the worst...I don't miss this part of my wild party days!

Lots of Hugs,
DS
