No time for Jet lag... busy busy busy!

I am still finding it strange to find that I am waking up to a mountain of emails where the world in USA is working while I am sleeping but I am sure I will get my head around it!

I find it fairly easy to get into time zones now and I must admit I didn't want to wake up when my alarm went off at 6.15am. Kev and Charlie had been up for a while at this point so I had to drag my body in to the shower and prepare for my day of press and what a day!

I was on Sunrise first thing, which is the equavalent to the 'Today Show' in the US or 'GMTV' in the UK and then I was whisked back to the hotel to meet the photographer for the sunday Telegraph who took me off to teh beautiful and gorgeous Chinese Gardens for a photo shoot, and then back to the hotel for the 'In your own words' interview that will run in the Sunday Telegraph magazine in the next few weeks.

Then over to a radio station and I crossed the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge... OMG what a sight! I took  a quick glimpse at the Sydney Opera House.... whoa! and then it was back to the hotel for another interview and photo shoot!

It was a busy day with eventually 5 changes of clothes (thankfully I took enough clothes!!) with very little rest. I was glad when the day finished around 3pm so I could relax and unwind.

Kev and Charlie had a busy day. They went off to the Aquatic Center and also the Maritime Museum, and had a great day out. They saw Kangaroos and Koala Bears, it was so great. I am looking forward to being a tourist tomorrow and sticking a hat on and having fun! I wanna go on an open top bus and see the sights and then stop off where we want. I think we are also going to do a cruise of the harbour! YAY!!!

Australians are so laid back and relaxed, and they will help you no matter what, but they are very much like the English. It's like we all understand each other, and it's made me realize how american I have become (which is not a bad thing) lol!!!

So I have been loving the day, even though it's busy. And I can't get over how grateful everyone is that I am donating the proceeds to the 4 shows to the Bush Fire Appeal... it's fantastic!!

Bed time for me just as LA is waking and I am looking forward to my holiday starting today. I have a week off to be a tourist and a mom and I am going to love every minute of it!

Have fun and behave while I am away... ha ha ha

With love

Lisa xx

PS I will post more pictures of the trip very soon!

Hey Lisa,
I am back from my business travel and am enjoying catching up here. Wow the trip sounds so awesome and it has only just begun. I am really happy to hear that you will have some free time to go out and enjoy some time being a tourist with your boys. It has been such a whirlwind for you. Now you must chill out and let the sites take your breath away. OMG, now I would have loved Kev and Charlie tours with the kangaroos and koala bears. The exotic wild life there I hear is so amazing. Say hello to all my earth angels friends... oh do I love our animals!

Anyway, you go have a magical time and tell us about it all later!!! Lots of Hugs, DS

Hey Lisa!
Glad you are enjoying yourselves in our beautiful country. I just read that you will be going to Ayres Rock (Uluru) soon - I went there last Sept and it's fantastic (but pretty hot!). Walking around the bottom of the rock is really interesting (lots of caves, little waterfalls, etc) but here's a tip - take plenty of your own bottled water (the tap water there is HORRIBLE!). I also really recommend the "Sounds of Silence Tour" where you watch the sun set over the rock while sipping champagne, then stroll down to a beautiful dinner in the middle of nowhere (where they set up a lovely restaurant with lanterns everywhere). After the meal, an astronomer comes out (lamps go off) and he shows and tells you all about the stars and constellations. It is truly spectacular - a must see! Charlie would love it as well (our kids did).
Have a great time Lisa, love hearing about your adventures,
Deb :-) Sydney, Aussieland
P.S. Missed seeing you on "sunrise" - wish I'd known! aww :-(

Hi Lisa,
Holiday!! Have a relaxing holiday. Are you going to walk up the bridge in Sydney? What a cool view it would be from up there. I caught your interview on the Sunrise show over the internet - you looked wonderful! I noticed the necklace touch too. I'm going to listen to your radio interview in Australia next. I love the internet right now. Thank you for taking the time to blog for all of us, it's appreciated!

G'day Lisa
Hope you can really unwind now and relax.if you do get a chance try and take Charlie to Luna Park that is on the Sydney Harbour.Apart from the open air bus their is also a Tram in Eddie Ave next to Central Railway Station and the Monorail in Darling Harbour(great place for souvenirs as well). You can even catch the Ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo and also to Manly ( I live near Manly LOL!!)If you want to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge let me know as my niece works there and takes people for climbs. It generally takes about 3 hours with stops inbetween of course and full of commentary. If you dont want to that adventourous you can climb inside one of the Harbour Bridge Pylon which is like a Museum at the top and still get the views. Will you be travelling part way by train to Ayers Rock which is a great way to relax.
Tell Charlie that Ayers Rock may look massive from above the ground but actually its supposed to be bigger underneath the ground and remember the legend "Dont take any of the rock" as it can bring misfortune.
Have you heard from your Mum about your Nan please let us know.Take care and enjoy the rest of the week as a tourist LOL!!
Hugz

Hi Lisa, WOW I cant believe you are donating the money from your 4 shows to the Victorian fire victims. You are an angel !!! There are 1000's of people old and young that have been left homeless, that have lost family members & friends even entire towns. It breaks your heart to see faces of those who lost their lives. I was fortunate enough not to know anyone affected by the fires as I live in Sydney but THANK YOU on behalf of those you can't say thank you to you, your generousity is just MARVELOUS & APPRECIATED GREATLY :) :) :)
I can't wait to see you on the 2nd April it will be the best night of my life...
Take Care,
Lara
